Looks ok, although it should not matter really as 13.2 comes with both cdrkit 
and mkisofs.

OTOH, I don't think that the BuildRequires is necessary at all.
I don't see mkisofs needed/used anywhere at build time.

13.2 contains mkisofs. But you have to remove cdrkit-cdrtools-compat because 
they conflict. cdrkit is/was a fork/replacement for cdrecord and related tools 
like mkisofs. You'd better use the original though as it is actively 
developed, especially as it is now again part of the distribution.
So I would suggest to choose deinstallation of cdrkit-cdrtools-
compat-1.1.11-20.1.7.x86_64 as solution.

For 13.1 and earlier the dependencies are wrong. break devede by ignoring 
some of its dependencies is the correct action and does not really break 
anything.

I filed a bug report about this (and similar problems with other packages) a 
few months ago, but it has been ignored so far unfortunately:

Choose option 2 break devede-... by ignoring some of its dependencies and 
make sure cdrkit-cdrtools-compat is installed. It should work then.
Or add the multimedia:apps repo from OBS, this does contain the package 
mkisofs: http://software.opensuse.org/package/mkisofs

That feedback is from the terminal, just to retrieve it. I start Devede 
up as normal user. But then it crashes. It requires gtk 2.24, but that 
can't be provided.

Es blinkt nur für kurze Zeit das Devede-Symbol am Cursor aber Devede 
startet nicht.
Zum Einen steht da Version 3.17.1 (ok, kosmetik) - aber das wahre 
Problem ist die gtk+ Version. Diese ist über kein Repo zu finden und bei 
einer Neuinstallation von Devede wird die Abhängigkeit auch nicht aufgelöst.


Zu meinem System:

openSUSE 11.3 x86_64 mit aktuellen Patches aus openSUSE-Repos und 
Packman-Repos

ein Tipp eines ebenfalls betroffenen, gab den letzten Ausschlag.

Bei openSUSE unter:

/usr/share/devede

das Pythonscript:

devede_video_convert.py

mit erweiterten Nutzer-Rechten den Editor (zB. Kwrite) öffnen,
in (zumindest bei mir) Zeile 467 den Eintrag von:

lavcopts+=ac3

auf diesen Eintrag:

lavcopts+=ac3_fixed

ändern.

Damit ist Problem vorerst mal erledigt.

Hallo,

ich habe keine Ahnung ob ich hier richtige Leute anspreche, wenn nicht werde
ich' s wohl merken ;-)

Mein System:

openSUSE 11.3 32Bit → KDE SC 4.6.x → alles aktuell was Updates angeht. Media-
Pakete alles auf Packman-Pakete ausgerichtet, zumindest soweit das nötig,
möglich  sinnvoll ist.

Folgendes Problem.

Ich nehme einen zb. mit »DreamBox aufgenommenen Film, lade den per LAN-Zugang
herunter, bearbeite diese mit »DvbCut«, erstelle dann mit »Devede« eine DVD
Struktur. Im Rahmen dieses Szenarios gehe ich auf Vorschau und stelle fest
das der Ton völlig verzerrt und verlangsamt ist.

Nehme ich die Audio-Spur von einem kodieren bzw synchronisieren aus
(deaktivieren bzw kopieren des Audio Dateien), funktioniert der Ton auch der
Vorschau sauber und soweit fehlerfrei. Nur, wird beim Film erstellen dann ja
die Audio-  Video- Spur nicht Synchronisiert, und das ist nicht so toll wenn
im Film einer den Mund bewegt und der Text kommt 3 min. später. ;-)

Ein Start von »Devede« aus der Konsole heraus zeigt beim o.g. Vorgang keine
Fehlermeldungen an, zumindest taucht da kein Error irgendwo auf.

Nutze ich für das erstellen der DVD Struktur hingegen »ManDVD«, muss ich beim
DVD Struktur erstellen ebenfalls AC3 Kodieren erzwingen abwählen um nicht
dasselbe Ergebnis wie bei »Devede« in der Vorschau (der Ton ist total verzerrt
und verlangsamt) zu haben.

Nur, ist es bei »ManDVD« scheinbar nicht ganz so schlimm das AC3 Kodieren
auszulassen, da hier die Audio  Video Spur schon beim hinzufügen der Film-
Dateien Synchronisiert wird. Ohne eine synchrone Audio  Video Spur, lassen
sich da gar keine Film Dateien zufügen, das wird gleich  sofort per Standard-
Funktion synchronisiert und kodiert. Da wirkt sich zumindest in Sachen
Synchron von Audio  Video Spur das auslassen des Kodierens nicht negativ aus.

Nun hab ich das ganze (mit den gleichen in o.g. openSUSE Version genutzten
Programmen → Devede, DvbCut etc) mal mit einem in einer VBox installierten
Ubuntu 10.10 versucht, da geht mit »Devede« alles Fehlerfrei und sauber wie es
das einst auch bei SuSE war.

Wie gesagt, ich weiß nicht ob ich hier richtig bin  hoffe und vermute es
aber mal weil ja die betreffenden (beteiligten?) Programme aus dem Packman-
Repos kommen.

Ich hoffe ihr könnt irgendwie helfen das Problem zu lösen.

PS: Noch erwähnen wollte ich, das ich kein Programmierer oder sonstiger
Software-Fuchs bin, sondern einfacher und durchschnittlicher Endanwender.

Wenn Du die von DvbCut erstellte Datei direkt abspielst, gibt es dann 
auch schon diese Verzögerungen? Wenn ja, tritt das Problem auch auf, 
wenn Du stattessen ProjectX zum schneiden verwendest (nutze ich seit 
Jahren ohne Probleme, Ausgabe demultiplex und anschliessend die Video 
und Audiospur wieder mit mplex zusammenbasteln).

DVBcut erzeugt bei mir aus den Filmen, die der DVB-S-Receiver mit 25fps 
liefert regelmäßig Filme mit angeblich 50fps (natürlich ohne die Anzahl der 
Frames zu erhöhen). Tatsächlich korrekt abgespielt kann der Film dann nur 
werden, wenn man ihn entgegen der Angabe in der Datei wieder mit 25fps 
abspielt. Da mir die entsprechende Nachbearbeitung auf die Nerven geht, 
verwende ich seit über einem Jahr DVBcut nicht mehr, sondern schneide nur noch 
mit ProjectX oder avidemux.

Da es für DVBcut AFAIK seit Jahren keine echten Updates (nur Anpassung an QT4 
oder neue gcc-Versionen) gegeben hat, bezweifle ich langsam, dass dieses 
Problem dort noch einmal irgendwann beseitigt wird.

did you also install the package devede-lang ?

try to start devede from the directory /usr/share/devede

the file devede_other.py is installed there.


from the small output above, devede seems to search the files 
in /usr/share/devede:

share_locale=/usr/share/locale
glade=/usr/share/devede
sys.path.append(/usr/lib/devede)
font_path=/usr/share/devede
pic_path=/usr/share/devede
other_path=/usr/share/devede
help_path=/usr/share/doc/packages/devede
print Using package-installed files ===


but the statement:
try:
import devede_other
except:
print Failed to load modules DEVEDE_OTHER. Exiting
sys.exit(1)

triggers the bail off ...

you can try to comment out the line sys.exit(1) in the file /usr/bin/devede 
line 158 and look what's happening than. I would bet it fails with the next 
block:
try:
import devede_convert
except:
print Failed to load modules DEVEDE_CONVERT. Exiting
sys.exit(1)


From point of installing, all files seems to be on the right place.

 Das Vorgehen, um den Trace zu provozieren:

1. devede starten
2. VideoDVD erzeugen
3. Beim Titel 1 auf Eigenschaften klicken.

 oder:

1. devede starten

3. Datei hinzufügen
4. Button Vor drücken.

 Könntet ihr das rpm fixen, dass es mit gtk+ 2.14 läuft, oder muss ich mir
 die 2.16er irgendow besorgen?

ich werde heute im laufe des Tages ein redowngrade auf die 0.11.3 Version 
durchführen. devede updates wird es wohl erst wieder für openSuSE-11.2 
geben :(

[packman] Devede Problem

 Ok i'm running opensuse 11.1 KDE 4.3
so the problem is devede since the last update it hasent worked properly
i can load up the video i want to convert and setup my settings but when
it is time to covert the video and i click the foward button nothing
happens i've used devede in the past alot so i saw an update for it
today well still the same problem so i got to thinking i will run it in
console to see what message i get well here it is
glib.GError: /usr/share/devede/wprogress.ui: required gtk+ version 2.16,
current version is 2.14
so i went looking at the gtk packages well it is right to a point cause
i do have this
gtk2 Version:2.14.4-8.7.1
but i also have this
gtk2-engines Version:2.16.1-4.1
So the problem is the first one gtk2 version 2.14 how do i get 2.16
cause my system is up to date with the latest updates
any help would be appreciated
