Re[2]: replay-AV weirdness
Hello Chris, On Sunday, April 23, 2006, 12:29:27 AM, you bellowed the following: i learned that some streams *must* be recorded using your sound card. I didn't think so but it's true. For this, I tend to use Virtual audio Cable. Yesterday, I had to record four hours from a stream which used one of those imbedded players. What I did to get around this was to open up sound forge, set it to the input on one of the virtual audio cables, set my default sound card to the virtual cable's output, load the stream, then change the default playback device back to my onboard sound card. This was done with a laptop and it worked great. It's far easier to rip streams on shoutcast servers, or even Windows Media streams where you can actually find the source address. -- Good Sunday, -- Patrick Perdue (MCP, CNA) KE4DYI Greensboro, NC website: http://www.pdaudio.net home: +1(828)221-2971 Mobile phone and SMS: +1(336)509-5583 e-mail and .net messenger: [EMAIL PROTECTED] skype: Borris For anything related to the yamaha motif line of keyboards and modules, subscribe to the motif-help mailing list by sending a blank message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. Questions about Jaws and the Edirol r09
Hi, all! I have a couple of quick questions: 1. I want to move my Jaws voice to a different sound card. I've done this before with the help of you guys, and I went to the Archives to find out how to do it again. Well, I guess I'm dense, but I don't know a quick way to find that subject. It used to be thee was a little form field where I could do that, but all I see is that everything is now sorted by date. What am I missing? I was trying to avoid asking this question again, because I know it comes up from time to time. Anyway, my second question is quicker: has anyone seen or used the Edirol R09? I've got one back ordered to see if I can use it at all, but if it doesn't work out, I may just have to get the Edirol 1. Thanks for any help you all have to offer! Pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Friday, April 21, 2006 10:15 AM Subject: questions about stopping recording with replay AV Hi, this is Steve. For the most part, I am having no problems with Replay AV. What I need to know, if I check the box to record now, on a stream, I don't know how to properly stop the recording without closing the program. I was hoping the record now check box was a toggle. When I do suddenly stop, I then go in to the recording and change the .cap to .MP3, since the abrupt stop didn't allow for the proper conversion, that's if the stream is MP3 to start with. I also need to know this, because if I record a stream which is to convert Real to MP3, I don't know what to do with the .cap extension for this. Is there a way to stop a stream recording, so that the requested conversion will take place, and can I do anything with those files that have .cap when the stream was other than MP3? Thank you very much. ___ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com. setting times for replay-av
This is another problem with replay-AV, and it happens almost every time. When you set the program times and then come back and look at them they are always an hour later than you set them. Now I know it's going to happen, but for a long time I thought it was just me. Now, as soon as I set the time I go back and look at it and it is an hour later and then I go back and fix it. RE: Re[2]: replay-AV weirdness
Hi Patrick, using Replay AV's URL finder, I have not yet found an embedded player I couldn't record from. Works really well and of course an added benefit is that you can then use Replay AV to tune into the stream at any time, even if you don't want to record it, and bypass the embedded player.
