Gold Wave 5.19 is Out

2007-03-03 Thread Bruce Toews
Gold Wave version 5.19 is out. The change that caught my attention was the
ability to use M3U files to batch convert and merge files.

  Changes in v5.19 include:
  Updated help (Vista compatible)
  Eject button in CD Reader
M3U support in Batch Processing and File Merger
  Some fixes and improvements

The Free Hi-Q Recorder Intenet Radio Recorder work
very well for this application. They both will capture
any sound through the Sound Card and produce an MP3

Re: FTP and DST Off Topic

2007-03-03 Thread Jana Jackson
Well, then, someone is welcome to e-mail me off-list. When a person needs
help with something and doesn't know where to go, they should be able to at
least ask for it. I've been working on getting a workable system together
for weeks, so that I can start my radio show. For every work-around I find,
five more hurdles seem to pop up. Figured that this one should be easily
fixed.

Now, I apologize for not putting the words Off-topic in the subject line,
but rather than getting told off for it, maybe it would be better if you
just told me where to find one, whether on or off-list. It isn't like I
started a thread, I haven't gotten a single response! That's okay, but I
mean, come on!

If anyone can help me, my e-mail address is either
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
or
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks!

Jana

goldwave file murger sure came in handy

2007-03-03 Thread Chris Skarstad
Hi folks

I just updated to the latest version of Goldwave, version 5.19. I
had recorded a show using Replay A/V, and for whatever crazy reason,
the file got broken up into two parts. I didn't want to have a show
like that in two different files, so on a whim I tried Goldwave's
file murger feature. This is where you select two or more files, and
then Goldwave will murge them into one longer one.
Well, it worked successfully, and now i have the show, pretty much in
tact as it was broadcasted. I just thought I'd recommend this to
anyone who may need to join 2 mp3 or other type of audio files
together. It does the job pretty quickly too, it only took maybe 5 to
10 minutes if that to murge the two files. It worked great.
So give it a try sometime if you ever need to, or if you just wana
experiment. neither of the 2 other files will be deleted so you're ok.
