Did you set the mini output to the Yamaha synth? That should be all that's
needed to get it to work.

Subject: issues with Yamaha S-YXG50

Hi all,

Today I wanted to install the Yamaha S-YXG50 synthesizer.
In the description on the site and in the documentation I found is
written that it is able to run under Win XP.

After I installed it without any error, i rebooted the computer and
tried it out. I don't get any sound out of it. Winamp shows no error
but it does also show that the file is not playing at all.

Does someone know why that doesn't works?

My system is:
Win XP Service pack 2 with all updates
Intel Core Duo processor
2 GB of RAM
Sound Blaster X-Fi sound card
and enough free hard disk space.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
Simon

CDex Question

2008-03-29 Thread Dan Kerstetter
I'm using CDex to rip some CD's that have tracks that run into each other.
I can't get the half second or so of silence between the run together tracks
to go away.

I tried using Exact Audio Copy, but for some reason it would not interface
correctly with my machine.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to configure CDex so I can have no
silence between tracks where there isn't supposed to be any.

Thanks.

Dan Kerstetter

Hi Listers,

Can anyone tell me of some good websites besides RealPlayer and Rhapsody
where you can download by track rather than purchasing an entire album?

Thanks much.

Hi Gang:

Anyone using the Sirius Stiletto 2 Receiver? If so, how so?

Can you compare it to the XM MyFI receiver?

Thanks all over the place gang.

ripping audio

2008-03-29 Thread Rick Harmon
Hi everyone,

I have about 200 cd's that I ripped back in 2003. I didn't know a lot about
ripping audio then and I used a high priced mp3 ripper from Xing labs called
audio cataylist 2.0 . I ripped everything at 160 k bit joint stereo 44.1 khz
sample rate. I'm seriously thinking about re ripping all the cd's again. I'm
considering WMA lossless, or Mp3 at 320 k bit. Any suggestions? I hear
people say do not do joint stereo? What do you audiophiles out there suggest?
Also is Windows media player up to the task? I know it can do both mp3 and wma
lossless formats.

Thanks,

Rick
