EMU0202 question:

2008-10-25 Thread Donald Breda
I bought probably mistakenly and EMU0202 USB soundcard.

Playback sounds great through it and it records quite well but it appears to me
that there is no way to do any type of stereo recordings with it.

It seems like the line in and mic are all mono.

I never thought to check that before I bought it cause I can't imagine that any
one would make a sound card that isn't stereo through and through?

Is this a driver problem or is it really a mono soundcard only but for playback?

Don

hi all re me i am using 2 different types of studio's one is an external
14 channel mixing desk made by soundcraft, and fed in to it r the
following

1 broadcast mike,
2 soni cd players
2 soni md players
one twin motor tape deck for dubbing tape from tape to the pc, with
variable head alinement and speed adjustment on it
i have ten audio stereo channels on the mixer with base mid and trebble
on each fader

and also lope back as well.
and on the mikes i have the same
also have a compresser limiter that goes from the output of the mixer,
that then is fed to a base and trebble unit, thats then fed in to the
pc,

or if i want i can just use the pc for playout,
but either way i have an optimod unit processer for bothe studio's.

Hi,

Would you mind sharing with the list what equipment you are using for
your radio broadcasting?

Thanks,

John

Hello!

I am looking to setup my internet radio station for broadcasting. I
need some gingles and other promos to make my station sound like
professional dj's sound. I know there are many people on this list who
make these types of things or who may have a list of gingles, etc.
available for buying or free. If anyone out there do this kind of work
and/or have available gingles to share, do put the info on the list or
contact me directly with their info.

Thanks.

Re: Soundforge program size question

2008-10-25 Thread Steve Pattison
I have version 9.0e of Sound Forge installed. I bought Sound Forge
online and the size of the downloaded file was 75,104,904 bytes or about
71.6MB. When installed this version of Sound forge takes about 128MB on
the hard disk. I hope this helps.

Regards Steve.

I have a friend who installed Soundforge 9 and they say it's only 71MB.
The
version of Soundforge 8, I saw was more than 300MB. Can someone
straighten
me out why the extreme difference, or is his version 9 not a full
version,

Re: Any users of AudioVault?

2008-10-25 Thread Rays Home
I'd like to know a bit more about what this software does if you could
please.

AsloAlso, specific parts of it that might not work well with screen readers
generally. Scripts could be written for more than one screen reader now to
make this workable if that is possible.

Subject: Any users of AudioVault?

Hello:

I just joined this list. Has anyone used radio station control
software called AudioVault? I ask because I may have a chance to pick up
some part-time work if I can access the software. I use JAWS. I want good
information before asking the IT person in the radio station to let me
install strange software on the computer. I presume that a station will
want to be sure that access software doesn't crash their station. Thank
you.

Robert Jaquiss
