Rockbox 3.0 - Iaudio x5 - Recording settings

2008-12-22 Thread Boženka Gogoľáková
Helo,
I am visualy impaired and I need help with recording settings.
In older version of Rockbox this menu was placed in sound settings. But
after
installing newer version I could not find it. I have read your manual, but
there
I found the information that recording settings are placed if I press
jojstick on the item in main menu recording. I pressed it and there is a
problem. I cannot activate the sub ittems. If I want to activate the source
line in or microphone is it not possible. After pressing the key the Rockbox
says something different like off or on. I cannot activate anything from
this important menu. I need to activate line in or mic very often or change
format, bitrate but i cannot in this version. Can you explain me how to do
it? Or is it realy possible to change these important things? It is realy
pity, I will return to older version of the Rockbox. Is something what I do
in bad way?
Can you tell me how to sett it? People who have not problem with sight can
do it very easy, but not everyone has this possibility.
I had Rockbox from April of this year and today i have changed it on newer.
Thanks for understanding.
Bozenka

Playing Purchased MP3's in Real Player after downloading songs through ITunes

2008-12-22 Thread JardataLearningCenterEmailService
Hello List!

I purchased several CD's from Amazon, which were downloaded throughtheir Amazon
Downloads Manager that puts the songs in ITunes and/or Windows Media Player;
however, after I went to the Amazonmp3 folder in MY Music, the MP3 files won't
play--being choppy and skippy and then stopping altogether, which brings a
message from Real Player and Windows that the Real Player program had to stop
and close. I tried the files on my other pC's and the same. I did, however,
burn the songs to a CD and they play like they do in ITunes, perfectly. I
tried to re-rip them back onto the system via Easy CD-DA Extractor, but got the
same situation with the poor play.

First of all, I was under the impression that MP3's will play in any system; I
heard something about Apple and ITunes having certain rights for Apple
downloaded music; I bought this music from Amazon.com and use a PC; why should
Itunes have any rights to them. Does Amazon use ITunes Store.

I plan to use Amazon for some more music; that is, if I can then play them on
any machine, since they belong to me; if I have trouble with Amazon's
downloads, what can I do? I can always change sources for music.

Now, could the problem be with Real Player or Winamp, as recently, I have been
getting weird shut downs and have had to uninstall and reinstall both programs.
Are there any issues with these programs and could they be causing the ITunes
stuff not playing in Real Player or Winamp problems I am now experiencing?

Answers please!

James Robinson

In case you're still looking for this, I use Mp3 Direct Cut, which is free
and does a great job of splitting files into any desired length of
segments.

Hi all,
Does anyone know of a good freeware program that will automatically
split audio files into equal parts? I like the option of by time or
number of parts. I have goldwav, but I see no way to have goldwav mark
the file into equal parts and then split into individual files. I know I
can manually mark the points in which to split, but I have several files
I wish to split into about 100 parts and don't want to manually mark all
of those.

Thanks,
Jason

Well, I did what you or anybody else could have done, which is to search for
it on Google; I used the I'm feeling Lucky button and got there immediately:
