Subject: Lame Encoder Problem with Goldwave 5.52

I am finding that when I install version 5.52 of Goldwave it is not finding
the encoder when I go to save a MP3 file. This is the first version where
this has been a problem.

If someone has a good solution for this problem pleas let me know. It
seems to not have a problem finding other encoders, but it is not finding
Lame even though it is installed on the system.

Re: BBC Podcastes

2009-06-23 Thread David Bailes

Hi Ketan,

In the list of 6 options which includes itunes, google reader, etc, the last
item is RSS feed. To copy the feed address to the clipboard, either select copy
shortcut from the context menu of the RSS feed link, or alternatively open the
link, and then copy the address in the address bar.

David.

Re: Changing Encoders in Easy CDDA Extractor

2009-06-23 Thread Steve Matzura
On Mon, 22 Jun 2009 13:35:54 -0400, you wrote:

 I'm using e z c d extractor version 11. I remember
downloading a file that included alternative codex for many of their
decoders. You just had to unzip the codex pack and copy the files
into the program files, ezcdex folder, overwriting the files that
were there already. I would think you could copy your encoder in
that directory after renaming the encoder that is being replaced,
then name you replacement what the old one was called. That should
work, but if it doesn't, delete the new file and rename the old one
back to what it was. Good luck.

Sorry, that's not a solution I would endorse. How do I know my
encoder of choice takes the same command-line parameters and switches
as LAME does? Answer: I don't. Therefore, I can't guarantee it'll
work. I can update LAME and hopefully that will fix my problem which
I'm trying to fix by changing encoders, but now that I see how Easy
CDDA Extractor was designed and engineered, I think I'm going to have
to start shopping around for something else to take its place that
allows me to choose my own encoder for whatever format I want to
encode to. I seem to remember, though, in versions gone by, that you
could do this and there was documentation that told you how. Maybe
that's only in the Pro verson? I'll have to look on his Website to
find out more.
