Identifying an SB audigy sound card
Hi all, I have a Dell PE sc440 desktop here with a Sound Blaster Audigy PCI sound card. There are four 1/8 inch jacks on the card. If I look at the jacks going left to right does anyone know what each jack is for? Also I have a 5.1 speaker system with three 1/8 inch male inputs. Can this card drive that sort of speaker system? Re: adobe audition
Hi Brett. Sonar is a top piece of software that delivers both in the audio and midi field. It's highly accessible using either Caketalking or JSonar, although it can be quite a learning curve to get the most out of it. So, in answer to your question, no it isn't just midi and the audio part is extremely detailed and highly accessible. Warning: this will reset your CDex settings back to defaults, but here's how to start over on a fresh configuration: 1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer or whatever file manager you prefer, open your drive C. 2. Locate Program Files (Program Files (x86) if you are using a 64 bit edition of Windows). 2. Locate CDex. 3. Locate the file cdex.ini, and delete it. 4. Start CDex, and set your opptions. Hopefully your ripped CD will appear in the default location. Good luck! Total Recorder implements a special driver that captures output directly from the sound card. GoldWave will record from whatever recording devices you have. Then I open the file and use the effect called TimeWarp to slow the song down without changing the pitch to about 70 percent the speed of the original. All the instruments are still there but it is easier to break out the note for note playing that way. That method is still really time consuming since allot of the leads are so fast that they are still really dificult but at least it is doable. If I slow down beyond 60 pct or so the song gets pretty garbled and that is not good either. Re: Is it possible?
Bass eh, you noisy guy - grin! OK, so how slow have you tried it out at and still had clear notes for fast bass riffs? I am messing with Stevie Ray Vaughn stuff and he plays pretty fast. Picking up the licks is a slow slogg since I can't read tab or anything else for that matter. Anyway, let me know how slow you have tried that puppy at. Re: adobe audition 1.5 jaws scrips problem
Hi Dan I did get them working beyond Jaws 7, certainly to version 9 and possibly 10. I found that they only worked if I made sure that they were in the Jaws settings - not the ones in 'All Users' but in the Jaws settings in my own profile in Documents and Settings. (This was in XP home) Maybe this is the problem. They did not work if I had 2 versions - I had to remove all the script files for Audition in the 'All User' jaws settings and only have them in my own user settings.
