Re: Help with Goldwave scripts, please
Walter, Far as I know the version for GW V5.57 work with v5.58 but as yet, am still using v5.56. I understand the scripts are available from the BlindCoolTech site. It would be useful to know which operating system you have, since I exclusively use Windows XP Home, for which I paste in the following from a post I sent elsewhere a few days ago. How to use these scripts. Installation. 1. Open the folder into which you have unzipped the scripts. 2. Now do escape with control, p for programs, j for jaws, right arrow into the submenu and go down to the explore Jaws and right arrow into it's submenu. 3. Go down to the explore my settings and enter. 4. alt-tab into the folder into which you unzipped the GoldWave files and move them into the folder you opened under the explore my settings. 5. Close all these down. 6. Go into configuration manager which I assume you know how to do, you should be looking at the my settings folder when it asks you to open a file, you are looking for a file called "goldwave.JSS" so open it and compile as with any other file. 7. Close all saving the changes when closing the configuration manager or whatever it is which compiles scripts. 8. Open GoldWave and do Jaws key with Q which should announce "GoldWave settings 5 are loaded application being used is Gwave.exe g w a v e . e x e" job completed. Of course, you could move the .zip file into the appropriate folder and decompress it there, saves moving then. >From Colin Howard, who lives in a small place about 8 miles east of >Southampton in Southern England. Re: Accessible audio editor...
Hi Robert and Kelly, well For Robert: I use audacity to apport aggiustment to my audio files, but with this program, unfortunately, it is impossible to create songs (I haven't an external keyboard, and then I can't record sounds, but I think it works well with recording the vocal needed for the songs)... For Kelly: I already visited the site: www.dancingdots.com but it offers CakeTalking, some jaws scripts for sonar And Cakewalk Sonar could solve all my problems, but It doesn't integrate a virtual keyboard...So, I haven't an external midi keyboard, and I can't simply use it! :( Any other ideas? Hello, I am Vincenzo, I am blind and I am 16... This is my first post in this mailing list. I am italian, so, sorry for my mistakes (of course, if you are very patient, you can correct them...and I will thank you! :)). I have to ask you a question... I am looking for an accessible audio editor. But not editors like goldwave, sound forge and similar... I would like to create dance songs with a program like fruity loops, q base, and similar Is there aniway for a blind user with screen reader jaws to use these programs? Or is there any program written specifically for blind users? I have a pc with jaws 11 and windows xp Vincenzo. Re: audacity
Hi Robert, there's a vocal removal page on Audacity's wiki: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Vocal_Removal - my understanding is that simple methods for vocal removal aren't that satisfactory. There's a mailing list for blind audacity users at: http://www.freelists.org/list/audacity4blind -there isn't much activity currently on this list, but one of the audacity team members seems to keep a look out for any questions. There's also an audacity users mailing list, which has a small number of blind users. Initially you can just send an email to: audacity-us...@lists.sourceforge.net David. original message: Since no one had an answer to my question. Re: Winamps audio playback capabilities
OK, Never Mind, as I took a look at the new version, of Win Amp and installed it, over my last Pro version. This time, however, I unchecked any and all of the On Line media functions, as Win Amp would freeze up, anytime I opened the Media Library, but does not freeze up now, enabling me to put content into it, from both of my external drives! It used to come up on some AOL or other item and just sit there, requiring shutdown and start up, of my entire system, to bring Win Amp back. Hope this further reply gets to you and you can honor all of us with a reply, David! Also you can do similar things in the Winamp play list editor. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Dane Trethowan Sent: Monday, 20 September 2010 8:00 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Winamps audio playback capabilities Hi1 This message may e a little long-winded so please excuse and bare with me. One thing I like about Itunes is the ability of Itunes to remember what songs I've played and how many times I've played them, you can using this memory create "favourite" playlists for example so those songs you play often are automatically added to that list so you can Sync it with your Iphone and no that when you're on the move you'll only hear those songs you like when you start playing the Ipod, so far so very good. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Yamaha TSX_130 clock radio on Thursday which includes amongst other things a multi-format audio CD player, an Ipod dock and a port for a USB memory stick so here's the question, I'd like to start using memory sticks with the Yamaha and I have Winamp on the Windows PC, is there a similar function in Winamp or a way using Winamp that I can have my most frequently play songs remembered and copied to the Memory stick in a similar way as illustrated in the above example with Itunes? And finally, for those wanting to know more about the Yamaha TSX-130? I plan to cover that in more detail in a future email and if you have one of these little beauties? Then may you be enjoying every minute of your listening experience . Re: creating karaoke
I found Wavosaur which did this somewhat. It all depends on how the music was recorded. The program dimmed the singer some but didn't get rid of it all the way. StationPlayList and creator Jaws scripts.
Hi list: Running Station PlayList 4.23, under windows Vista and jaws 9. I notice that some of the list boxes under creator won't speak when I'm arrowing down through them. For example, it doesn't tell me the categories of music when in the rotation tab. Any fix or jaws scripts out there that will help me out here? Thanks!
