Hello James and list: Yep..that was the culprit; I unchecked that Manual
Playlist thing..works like a charm now! Many thanks!

Open the Playlist section of Winamp Preferences, and make sure that the
option labeled 'Manual Playlist Advance' is not checked.

Hello list: Have a strange problem (maybe they've changed something
here)..I'm running Winamp 5.52. It used to be that I could go into a
music folder, do a select all by hitting control-A..and the tracks
would start playing in order. However..I'm finding that this isn't
happening now; when the first file is done, Winamp just stops! Before
you ask..I'll tell you that I have done the control-V thing so it
should play the next track; however..it's not happening! Does anyone
know why? Could it be that Winamp no longer allows for this? Or am I
just doing something wrong; possibly I'm leaving out a step?

Re: Question Concerning Winamp

2010-11-12 Thread Tom Kaufman
James and list: Yes..what I actually was trying to do was to just select a
list of tunes in a folder (not in Winamp)..and have them play; I knew I had
done it before..but had been quite a while since I had tried it! Was afraid
that in the newer versions of Winamp..maybe they changed something!
Again..thanks for your help!

Rob - I don't think the problem he has his knowing how to load multiple
files; the problem appears to be, from Tom's original message, that Winamp
is not automatically playing the next file after each file has finished
playing.

Tom - Have you looked at the playlist editor (Alt+E) or manually moved the
playlist along with the B key to check that multiple items have, in fact,
been loaded?

To play an entire folder in Winamp, use shift-l from the main window.
Then

select the folder you want to play and press enter.

I have no idea, in theory I have a Winamp pro key, and I've never been able
to retrieve it.
Cheers
