Re: radio reference audio scanner feeds

2010-11-19 Thread djc
I'm not sure how to advise as far as their mobile site goes Jed because
when I tried to retrieve a local site to me I also got the same error. Yet
when I go to their regular audio pages there are links that say click to
listen and when I do that they open winamp just fine for me. They work just
fine off the regular audio pages so I'm not sure what to say. Try the
regular audio pages and see if that works for you.

Hey guys,

Anyone use the audio feeds from radio reference?
I use the mobile sight cuase it is easier.
I click on live audio, then go to the department i want and click on it.
If you arrow down the page it says listen to feed then there is a link i
press shift down arrow to highlight it.
Then i go to winamp and do control L and paste in the location.
It keeps on saying resolving host for every feed i click on but yet there
are many listeners on each feed.
How do the rest of you open feeds off this sight.
I remember doing this exact procedure before but it worked fine and now
it's
not. any ideas?

Thanks,
Jed

Converting pal to Avi, or is it possible?

2010-11-19 Thread Lisa P Briones
Hi all,
I just re subscribed to this list after moving and losing the info and all
when someone recommended it after reading this message that I posted to
another list looking for help. Please, if anyone can, direct me where to go
or tell me it's not possible. Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this list and have just been reading and getting a feel for the
list before asking my question. I hope it will not be considered off topic
or unsuitable for here. I'm totally blind and am using Windows 7 Home
Premium with JAWS 12 Professional. I have some movies that are in pal format
and I'm wanting to convert them to avi so they'll be smaller. Does anyone
know of an accessible program that might do this? I used to use Magic DVD
Ripper and I thought it would do this, but I can't find the right setting if
it does, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great
day.
Lisa, P Briones

another question about Total Recorder

2010-11-19 Thread Bud Schwab

Hi guys again,

I'm the guy who couldn't get total recorder to behave when trying to
record. Well, now I find that if I record for maybe ten minutes or
less it stops just fine when I press control P, but if I record
longer, maybe 20 minutes or so it doesn't stop recording. I wonder
if there is some kind of timer or limiter that I'm missing. I'm baffled!

Thanks for any ideas.

On another subject, CDEX that is. I have been looking at that also
but can't find any way of finding the stop button with windoweyes
off. Has anybody solved that problem?

Thanks for any info on either.
