Crackling sound in Win/7

2011-02-07 Thread Morey Worthington

Hello all,
Have a Acer Computer with 2g memory and a 500gg hard drive, and it
came with Win Vista.

The sound card was a on board one with Real Tech drivers.
I did a fresh install of Win/7 and updated to the newest bill of Jaws 12.
The audio drivers which were installed were downloaded form microsoft
for the audio drivers.
Now I have a whole bunch of crackling in speakers even when using
certain keys on keyboard. Using microphone also causes crackling, but
music such as MP3 has no problems except when pressing keys to get to it.
I went to the system files and tried updating the audio drivers, but
came back with message that proper drivers were installed.
If this is a sound card or driver issue, any thoughts? Or, what may
be a por what may be a proper new sound card for my problem??

Thanks,
Morey Worthington

This sounds like a soundcard issue to me either check if the card is
installed properly, or it might need to be replaced. The soundcard
could have been damaged in shipment.
