Vicki, before you buy one of these machines, be aware that if you try to
copy a copywrited tape to DVD, it won't copy, and vice versa too the other
way around.

video and blank DVD and press 1 button to create a DVD version of your
video?

Many thanks! Vicky

Hi!

I've got what perhaps may be an easier option for you than Total
Recorder, will cost a little more but will probably do a better job.

There are DVD/VCR combo units available from brands such as Panasonic
which both play and record DVD'S and video cassettes so therefore it
follows you can dubb from one to the other at the touch of a button.

I've had my Panasonic model for nearly 4 years now and I wouldn't be
without it for the very reasons you've written to me in the first place
smile.

If you'd rather capture images onto your computer and dubb them across
to another media then you'll need to use Total Recorder video
Professional, I don't own this product as yet so I can't give you all
that information about it, I plan to upgrade to it next week so in the
meantime you may consider reading some of the primers on Total Recorder
Video Professional and how to capture video etc which can be found on
Total Recorder's web site at http://www.totalrecorder.com

Good luck with all that, sounds exciting.

I don't know if this info found you so I will try it again.

Clear kote makes a really good cd cleaning product
called Disk Restorer.
. I have heard of a product called CD Dr. I have used both Armerall and
tooth paste. I think cleaning a cd really good with dawn is a really good
solution. I have used the clear kote disk restorer on CDs that wouldn't even
boot up and it worked great restoring the Boot table of the cd.
If I fix a cd I make a coppy of the cd to back it up.
I would say that Tooth paste is the most unlikely method of cleaning a cd.
Armerall works but who knows how much dust you will trap on the cd at a
later time.
But I love the clear kote.
If you can't find a cleaning product at your local record store Give
this product a try.
