headset microphone. One that I can wear.

That does sound like a nice microphone. I imagine that with the
multi-pattern capsules. You can make it very directional, which would be
good for a desktop dictation microphone. But, I was looking for a
headset microphone that is high-quality and good for dictation. I Need
something that is comfortable, and that I don't have to think about. I
tend to move around a lot. But, I will consider the blue yetty as an
alternative. It doesn't hurt to have more than one microphone.

Blue yetty is a good one if you're going for quality. It's a USB mic
that

acts like a soundcard. You can plug a headphone into it as well. And my
experance with it is verry well good... I recommend it to anyone wana
do
dictation with it. It's clean and verry clare... not to mension the
distance
it can pick up from. But be sure to get the latest moddle... thanks...

I need to find a good headset microphone for voice dictation and
computer

control. I'm planning to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking and I have two
computers Windows XP and Windows 7. The wireless headset I have right
now is
not very good. I'm quite disappointed because I get tix pops and
crackles in

the audio stream so I need something better if I want to use Dragon or
Windows speech recognition. I hope I can find something wireless if not
then

I want to get a set that is quality and has a good long cable or can be
extended easily I wish I knew what's really good for voice recognition
and

that would also make my voice sound good.

It's important that I feel comfortable wearing this microphone. I don't
want
to have to worry about bumping it or bumping into it and causing
artifacts
that confuse speech recognition or make poor audio recordings of my
voice.
It would be a bonus if it also made my voice sound good. The headset
I'm
using now. Makes me sound kind of nasal as if I have a head cold and is
not

as good as the microphones I use in my Olympus recorder.

Re: quality microphones for voice dictation

2011-06-24 Thread Robert Logue
You could be right about that Gary. It doesn't seem like there are very
many headset microphones recommended for voice recognition.

I'm doing lots of research, but want to narrow the possibilities down before
I go to a store. Also, most of the stores carry microphones for musicians
and sound reinforcement. Not for voice recognition.

Amazing Slowdown

2011-06-24 Thread chris hallsworth

Hello all.
Anyone heard of this program? It allows you to change the pitch and/or
speed of an audio file, either Wave or MP3, or from an audio CD. Useful
for musicians. It's a nice program and is full of keyboard shortcuts.
The free trial is fully functional except it only plays the first two
tracks of a CD or the first quarter of a wave/MP3 file.

Yes it is. I haven't done it in a while, since once I had my music
library on my external hard drive, I didn't have to do it again. I just
treated my external hard drive as a MP3 player and used the sync options
in WMP.

Hello Rishi,

Thank you for your help. I went to the link you suggested; all I found was
physical data but no electrical information. It's possible that my Braille
Plus missed something, but I tried CNET on my PC with very little better
results. I found a short comment by a guitarist who say that he loves the mike.

I wonder if it is still made.

Subject: quality microphones for voice dictation

I need to find a good headset microphone for voice dictation and computer
control. I'm planning to use Dragon NaturallySpeaking and I have two
computers Windows XP and Windows 7. The wireless headset I have right now is
not very good. I'm quite disappointed because I get tix pops and crackles in
the audio stream so I need something better if I want to use Dragon or
Windows speech recognition. I hope I can find something wireless if not then
I want to get a set that is quality and has a good long cable or can be
extended easily I wish I knew what's really good for voice recognition and
that would also make my voice sound good.

It's important that I feel comfortable wearing this microphone. I don't want
to have to worry about bumping it or bumping into it and causing artifacts
that confuse speech recognition or make poor audio recordings of my voice.
It would be a bonus if it also made my voice sound good. The headset I'm
using now. Makes me sound kind of nasal as if I have a head cold and is not
as good as the microphones I use in my Olympus recorder.

Hi,

Just as a note, all USB headsets act like a soundcard, they have to because
of how they interface with the machine.

8Hi Gang,

Does anybody know of a simple program I could download that can make
cds from audio files I have put on the hard drive from audio
casettes? I'm using windows 7 64 bit. I just switched over from xp
where I was using easy cd creator, but it doesn't seem to work here.
Thanks for any ideas.

Hello,

There have been many messages dealble with this mike, including some rave
testimonials.

I cannot find specs or reviews of this unit.

The mike must be cardioid, and that should mean depressed bass below some
given frequency. Many condenser mikes have somewhat peaked highs. How
about this one?

Thanks for words of help here.

I don't condome pirateing myself. If I like it and can afford it then I
will. I live on my own, no children or stuff like that, so finance isn't
an issue right now. Even if it is, I have good savings. Anyway enough of
that.

Hello all.
Just to say I am a proud owner of a lifetime license of GoldWave. I
purchased a one year license May 2010 to help me with my finals at
university. As that license has now expired I thought I would upgrade
to the lifetime one.
