iTunes

2011-12-06 Thread Howard Traxler
Well, thanks to you folks and your patience, I now have iTunes and
blindtunes installed. When iTunes started, it started doing somethinwith my
music drive. I got scared and stopped it in the middle of its job. Now I
need to figure out how to make it finish what it started. Anybody know what
it was doing?

Thanks.

Also if your using Jaws there are very good scripts for it. You don't need
them persay but they really do help. You can get them at
www.blindtunes.net.

Ah, iTunes is a way of life! Seriously, I'm not an iTunes user, but I
went to itunes.com, clicked on the What is iTunes link and saw the
following:

   Overview

All your digital media, all in one place.
   iTunes Player

Where you organize, listen, watch, and play.
   iTunes Store

The world's #1 music store. And more.
   iTunes Everywhere

On your Mac or PC, iPhone, iPod, iPad, and Apple TV.

Play, buy, and enjoy your music, movies, TV shows, apps, and more.
Everywhere.

I'd suggest going to http://www.apple.com/itunes/what-is/ to check it
out. If you're still interested then you can download the program for
the Mac or Windows and start organizing your music, playlists and
podcasts and visiting the iTunes Store. Obviously, if you're going to
get an iPhone, iPod or iPad then iTunes is what you would use to
synchronize your content between the different devices.

I'll throw a forth player into the discussion, I like Itunes, the
people at GW Micro have - at long last - done a great job with the
iTunes scripts and it works like clockwork.

the software can be a little challenging for beginners but there are
plenty of help guides and tutorials around.

I mainly like iTunes I have to admit for the Smart Playlist feature
where you can create aplaylist and literally programme it to play what
you want to be played, for example if a song has been played over so
many times, if a song was added on a particular date and so on.

problem with microphone on windows 7 laptop

2011-12-06 Thread Michael Amaro
Hello Listers,
I am having problems with my microphone. I can't hear the test recording I
make. my machine comes with ID audio or some thing like that and a realtech
sound card. How ever this is not active. I saw it in my ad/remove programs.
When I connect my microphone it says Id audio control panel. Jaws does not
read this window.
Thanks

Well, the audio meter isn't quite useful in this version. What I was
aiming for was a tone that would let you know if your levels were
getting too hot. This is more of an indicator, but it's a start, it's
the foundation of what I'm initially after.
