Subject: Problems Checking For New Version Of Tapin Radio

Hello list: Does anyone know what is going on with Tapin Radio in regard
to checking for new version? Lately, whenever I try to check for the
latest version, my computer makes that Woom! noise and presents me with
an error message that says, the remote content was not found at the
server similar to HTTP..bla bla bla (no..it doesn't say bla bla bla!
But you get the idea! Is it that you now _must_ be a paid user in order
 to get the upgrades?

Hi, look at the record menu and there you will find a monitor option that
lets you hear what the recorder is doing.
When you see the monitor option just enter on it if you have a mike running
be carful of this because you will have lots of feedback.

2012-03-10 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

Depends on what you want your mic for.

The mic on the Logitech headsets I've never liked much, sounds like you're
talking through your nose when speaking into one of those things - at least
with my set anyway so I hope they've improved -.

Surprisingly Logitech market a good all-round desktop USB microphone for around
$25.00 which will suit most situations, use it with Skype or dictation
software, I've used mine with Reaper and Garage band when mixing tracks with
good results.

The Microphone is mono and a USB type.

What this microphone proves I think is that you don't have to spend a small
fortune to purchase a decent sounding microphone.

The pre amps are almost as quiet as the ones on the Sound-Devices stuff. The
cheapest of which is their $600 audio interface. I just love it. Sadly
though, the multi track stuff doesn't talk as if yet, but Olympus told me
they'll fix that. The other strange thing is that it won't say the folder
names. I'm surprised they took that away. Sorry for going PG 13 at the

Subject: Olympus 4 Track mythical? Recorder

 Hi!

Some time ago there was a discussion about this machine making a possible
appearance on the portable recorder market and - as I thought at the time -
I've heard nothing but silence since.

Has the device been released yet? I suspect not.

Users of iTunes for Windows

2012-03-10 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

Just wondering if anyone who uses iTunes for Windows can tell me where the
Airplay button is on the screen or how to make it visible? This is my only
problem with iTunes for Windows thus far, very impressed with the way it works
with Windows Screen Reading technology now.
