Re: Goldwave settings question
it doesn't matter if you go into the setting dialog or not, btw it's the effects menu. If you want to select the whole file, then yes, you'll have to do a select all. There is also the trim feature which I haven't played with. that's not so helpful, but maybe the developer could add an option to play the file forwards or backwards depending on the option selected in the play section of the control properties. you should ask him if that's what you're thinking. hth Dave C. I ran this test immediately before I responded to your querry to ensure I was giving you accurate information. You should be able to resolve your issues with reverse playback interruption by typing CTRL+A to assure your total file is included within your edit start and finish markers. Premature reverse playback stoppage is usually due to not having the entirety of the file highlighted. Here's hoping this helps. In older versions of Gold Wave, if a file was open, the user could hit F5 and the file would begin to play in reverse completely from the end to the beginning. I found this especially useful in situations where the initial file length exceeds the actual length of the recorded material. In 5.67, however, when one presses the F5 rewind key, the file rewinds only for a few seconds and then stops. Please tell me what if anything I can do to change this behavior so that the file will play in reverse until I choose to stop it. Remember, I am not talking about going into the settings to reverse the track. Thanks. youtube player
hi, I asked this on the gw-info list, but what do people here use for a youtube player seeing as firefox crashes too much to get anything done w/ flash and youtube. I've tried their html 5 version and the same thing happens. I've also tried vlc media player but it wasn't playing the videos so I uninstalled it. Has there been a codec developed for media player classic at all? -- Dave C. Re: Accessibility of playing XM radio over the internet with JAWS13/14
xm is a bunch of bullshit. you might as well go through soutcast or maybe live 365 if they are still around. the former is free and the latter is as well if you can put up with their fucking annoying ads every song a la pandora. If you have a mobile device, you will have better luck going that route. You have to memorize where stuff is on that. The web based player is not accessible, beyond logging in, and picking one channel. After that, it doesn't work really well. - Original Message - From: Dujari, Prateek prateek.duj...@intel.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 12:46 PM Subject: Accessibility of playing XM radio over the internet with JAWS13/14 Hello. Hi, later versions of firefox don't crash here, and I'm runningg the latest version of flash. I had to do a complete uninstall with revo eventually, and then reinstall, but things have been working fine for me since around v 10 or there abouts. twitter http://twitter.com/richardclayppol last.fm http://www.last.fm/user/lord_of_beer msn bellevue@gmail.com skype lord_of_beer - Original Message - From: Dave Bahr dcba...@gmail.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Thursday, September 27, 2012 2:05 AM Subject: youtube player hi, I asked this on the gw-info list, but what do people here use for a youtube player seeing as firefox crashes too much to get anything done w/ flash and youtube. Merging multiple mp3 files in GoldWave with cross fade control
Hello. I am able to merge a bunch of mp3 files quickly using the file merge feature in Gw. However I notice that in the resultant merged mp3 file, there is a brief silence between 2 adjacent mp3 files that I merged. is there any way to control this gap using the multiple file merge feature by say setting the cross fade time to minimum between each of the many mp3 files I want to merge?;pel merge this . original To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
