error ripping with winamp pro
When I attempt to rip it tells me it cannot find the decoder. This is on a windows 7 laptop. What decoder is it looking for where do I find it and where do I install it? Ray T. Mahorney WA4WGA To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

I'm using windows 7 by the way. To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

Fw: Playing DVD's [was Re: Hopefully Not off-Topic]
Since someone asked about how to make Media Clasic stop babbling the information, I thought I'd go back through my archives and find that message that someone posted a couple years back; it has navigational info, including how to stop Media Classic Player (or whatever it's called) to stop repeating the information. Here's some suggestions and tips. For navigating a dvd once you open it press alt+N or go to the navigate menu. If you can't reach the menu var with the alt key, press ctrl+0 and now the alt key should work. Once you found the navigate menu go in there and down arrow till you find jump to... sub menu. There you should see titles and chapters for the dvd. To stop playing the video press the period key; to jump to the next title/chapter use PageDown and to jump to the previous use PageUp. As you sayed the up and down arrow keys change the volume. Control+Left or Right arrow move you in the video making you jump every 5 seconds I believe. Ctrl+5 toggles the information about the playing duration. I recommend to disable it because jaws keeps reading them. By pressing the letter A you will change the audio language instantly if there is more than one. S does the same but for subtitles. I think that's all you need to know to best play your dvds. Hope this helps, Gianluca. If you want/have more problems you can add me on skype. Skype: gianluca8815 On 15/01/2011 21:07, Tom Kaufman wrote: Yes..the second link worked that time! I've downloaded it..but not sure what it'll let me do once I've installed it! At least the Media Classic Cinema works..although haven't figured out if it's completely accessible or not! I use this player everyday. The first file is a .7z, so winRar can open it. Once you decompress it you should find a folder in which you find the exe file of the player that is mpc-hc.exe. Once you open it you go in the file menu and go to open dvd... You should hear now the dvd. you go to the navigate menu and you jump on the title you want to watch. For the second link you're right. This should work, sorry for the mistake. www.cccp-project.net hth Skype: gianluca8815 On 14/01/2011 23:57, Tom Kaufman wrote: Okay..after going around and around..I cannot get this player to work! But the address must be wrong, for it says sorry; page not found! Am getting rather frustrated with this whole thing! You'll encounter this information shortly, but the short answer is control plus F5 toggles that on and off. Re: error ripping with winamp pro
I have the same problem. Looked for help on the winamp forums where I heard to reinstall Winamp and be sure everything is selected. I did that but still have the problem. I'm quite dissapointed right now. Jaws doesn't say what is selected in the installer so I chose a full install. Windows 7 64. I wonder if some esential service is turned off.
