Hi, has there been an effort to make this software work for the blind

Yep! I've been using it for quite some time, got it bundled with my Fastrak
mixer about 3 years ago I think it was.

There are Podcasts around for Protools and the Mac so take a look with Google
for more information.

I do know people who have used the Windows version of Protoos and they've not
reported any significant problems, guess you'll have to try it for yourself to
be sure.

Okay thanks, I'm looking at the manual for same right now and Studio Recorder
looks to be yet another item to add to my baskit of goodies, the manual covers
just about every topic one could think of not only for the software itself but
for audio editing and associated audio recording and editing terminology.

You can easily browse through the manual at http://tech.aph.org/sr_info.htm

Okay, I'm not going to argue because I've not tried it so can't say for sure
but all the information I have on hand seems to suggest otherwise.

Demo Of Studio Recorder

2014-02-09 Thread Dane Trethowan

Hi!

I'm using the demo of studio recorder, I plan to buy my own copy later
in the month.

I don't have any problems with a demo copy of a piece of software having
limitations but some limitations in some pieces of software just go
beynd the bounds of common sense.

In Studio Recorder the exporting and saving of files is disabled, so far
so good but the problem is that the Save As dialogue box is also
disabled thus you have no idea what formats are available for you to
export or save to unless you rummage through the Studio Recorder manual,
a very bad oversight on behalf of the developers and perhaps this can be
rectified in future demo editions of the Studio Recorder application.

Re: Demo Of Studio Recorder

2014-02-09 Thread Andrea Sherry

Is this suitable for music tracks or just voice audio?
What is the cost?

Why not contact APH and let them know. Surely it's no harm allowing one
to view a dialogue box but not be able to take action with it.
