Bowers Wilkins A5 AirPlay Speaker
Hi! Went looking to see if any firmware updates were available for this unit and - as yet - none are. I should point out that the A5 is working flawlessly so I didn't go looking for updates because of any issues, I was just curious to see if any were available and thus would have applied them. The support pages on the Bowers Wilkins web site are superb, very well laid out and easy to follow and I can only wish that company's like Asus etc would follow the BW example. Sounds pretty good. Sounds like you get a lot of white noise on the AM band though in the spaces between stations. I think it more than white noise, interference from somewhere and I'm not at all surprised given that the recording was made near a computer but still remarkable audio quality from a very small portable. Does anyone know if KNX is HD? If he went 10 KHZ below or above KNX, which was the audio we originally heard, the noise could have been the HD noise. Ah okay then. Then that means it could have been PC sounds. I use to do that on my radios when I was a little lad just for the hell of it as a neighbor use to say. I would put it on one of those stations the radio couldn't get, then I'd hold a toy up to it and listen to the sounds of said toy come threw the radio in that messed up interference kind of way. For what part would you use the H1? I just did it just to mess around with the radio. Though some of these were those tape recorder boomb boxes, I did record the interference the toy prodused in the radio. It was fun. I would even create pass buy like effects by bringing the toy closer and closer to the radio to faid it in, and then pull it away slowly to faid it out. I did this with a toy horse. Lol. It was mad fun. Logitech Z600 Bluetooth Speakers Review Rating | PCMag.com
Hi! If you have a Notebook computer then this set of speakers might be what you've been looking for, new from Logitech and here's a review of the system. To me the system has one flaw, what's the good of having a portable speaker system designed for Notebook computers and the like when you have to plug it into a power outlet? Apart from that it would seem that Logitech has managed to get everything else right but Logitech do seem to have a problem with battery power, with the flagship Boombox UE even, the volume of the system lowers itself about an hour before the battery actually goes flat so that's hardly helpful if the system is the life of the party. I myself can't comment personally as I don't have one however those I know who do who have both radios say that they're delighted to use both of them, the Sangean is better at receiving long distance stations even though the quality of the audio isn't quite as good. FM for both is about the same.
