Re: Olympus DM5 question

2014-11-05 Thread Aidan
Maybe that is a good idea. Yes, I forgot to talk about the power
adapter, as I forgot that unit does work and come with an normal
adapter as wel. In the case of the normal adapter I'm not sure if you
will get that notification. But with USB defnitly. Goodluck.

Hi. When I attach the AC plug I get no notification. I didn't try charging
via the usb because if a problem occurs then I have another element to
consider, is the fault with the player, the usb connection or my computer
etc. The AC was the most straightforward so I've used that but it must be
the default setting. When I'm more experienced I will try the usb and no
doubt I'll get a notification confirming usb charging, will have to wait and
see.

Last night I thought; what the hell, and put it on charge again over night.
I didn't do anything different as far as I know but in the morning I
disconnected it from the mains and turned it on and this time didn't get the
three beeps and the voice navigation was working. I won't do anything
involved with it until Friday when I'll get sighted help and if the charging
indicator shows full then I'll try exploring the player. In between now and
then I'll try working through some of the manual and try and make sense of
it. However though, it is working, so far anyway. I think though I'll buy
a replacement battery just to be on the safe side as they aren't too
expensive from Amazon. Walter.

I agree, that is something that make me so sick. People make us feel
so bad for asking anything. For that matter, I don't care about
google. Why don't we all die and let google take over, as it can run

Crocket Coverage On Commercial Radio In Australia

2014-11-05 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

The following comes from a Melbourne perspective, I live just outside Melbourne
thus I listen to both Digital and AM radio.

This year Radio station 3AW are splitting the station when cricket broadcast
are scheduled.

For example tonight’s match between Australia and South Africa, the live
commentary airs on 3AW 693 and the standard Nightline show can be heard on 3AW
digital and its already proved highly amusing, heaps of calls from very distant
areas wanting to know where they can buy digital radio sets? Most likely that
the poor souls calling up would have to travel to Melbourne to get one as their
local stores probably don’t even know what they’re talking about.

As far as I’m concerned? Well Cricket ought to be banned in my opinion however
- putting aside personal opinions - if I want to hear the cricket on Digital
Radio I can hear the 3AW coverage on NTS.
