Hi, make sure you set the recording settings to 44.1 khz and a high bitrate.
Also check all volume controls.

Re: I don't understand: adding station to TapinRadio

2015-01-27 Thread Charles Krugman
if you do a search under the call letters of the station you will get a
direct link to the official site. Try submitting that as they may not be
interested or able to take a link from a competing program. Note they are
not good at responding to emails as I found out from experience.

Subject: I don't understand: adding station to TapinRadio

 Hi guys
I don't understand if sometime ago I suggested they add the station
KMBH-FM off Rio Grande Valley in texas, they didn't do so? Any pointers
on what info to give Tapin? The site of the station is
http://tunein.com/radio/KMBH-FM-881-s32965/ I know it's the site off
TuneIn but I couldn't find any other site to give; because when clicking
on the site, it plays on my PC, I thought maybe via this site, Tapin
would be able to add the station, but maybe not? Thanks for ideas.

RE: external usb soundcards

2015-01-27 Thread Humberto Rodriguez
Hello Mike:

USB headsets normally have their own soundcard, thus if you use say, a
Logitech or a Plantronics headset, you can have Jaws and Skype go to the
headset instead of the computer soundcard.

Subject: external usb soundcards

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of getting a dj position on ACB Radio Interactive. During
the first half of the audition prep, I found out that my computer only has
one soundcard, and as a result, when I broadcast, my computer sounds and
screen reader sounds would end up being broadcasted too. The person training
me suggested that an external usb soundcard would solve this issue. Can any
of you recommend a good plug n play usb soundcard that would work with the
blue yeti usb mic, winamp 5.666, and windows 8.1? For anyone who has ever
used multiple soundcards in an audio project involving talking to someone on
skype, while broadcasting music over the web, do you know if external usb
soundcards have a setting, something like an audition channel of sorts, that
would allow you to take skype calls without broadcasting them online? If
technology permits, I'm hoping to be able to play music over the air, and
take requests via skype off the air. I hope that makes at least a little
sense. I'm new to broadcasting online, so my question may sound a little
confusing to some people. Thanks in advance for any help.

The Bose campanion 2 speakers are adiquate for
computers I have had them and they don't take up very much room on your
desk. They cost about a hundred dollars.

Hamit, your answer indirectly suggests a way JAWS might actually work. Press
control-z to leave the virtual cursor. This should turn off forms mode.

No. You have to use NVDA. Here's why. You know that edit box right after
where it says shair your thoughts? Well here's the problem. Jaws as you saw
goes right into forms mode. This won't do because you must open something
which I don't understand and thebn you can type. So, with NVDA, go to this
edit box, hit space on it after tabbing to it, then uparrow and down arrow
back to it Wam! Now you can comment when NVDA goes into it's forms mode.
Note be vary careful what you type because you can't edit if you back space,
you will go back to the previous vid or main page. The best way now to
comment is the Youtube app on the I phone.

I want to insert a comment on a youtube video but cannot seem to do so even

using internet explorer with Jaws 14?

As best as I know, about all one can do is to suggest the station; then it's
up to Tapin Radio as to whether they'll add it or not!
