Burn Playlist Spanning Multiple CD's
I have created a playlist in Winamp. I want to randomize (shuffle) the playlist and then burn it to CD. It will span about 3 CD's. What software can I use to accomplish this job? I know how to randomize the playlist. It's the CD burning I need help with. Rob To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi
Can Sound Taxi or some other batch conversion program preserve the artist and album folder structure when converting a batch of ripped CD's from WMA lossless to MP3 format? I bought Sound Taxi. And I have also tried Easy CD-DA Extractor. I specify the output target root folder. I select the artist folders in the lossless CD directory. When I perform the conversion, Sound Taxi says conversion complete very quickly, but nothing happens. Easy CD-DA Extractor does not even enable the Convert option unless I drill down and specifically select the .WMA files. Is there a setting or procedure that will let me preserve the artist and album folder structure when converting files in batch? If not, do you know of another accessible program that will accomplish this? How do you convert a batch of ripped CD's for playing in an MP3 player? Thanks for all help.\\Rob Jonathan Mosen List Founder Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org
Batch Conversion With Sound Taxi
I just purchased Sound Taxi to convert my digital music from WMA lossless to MP3 format to play in an MP3 player. Are there JAWS scripts or a demonstration for using Sound Taxi? blind_ipodders list
Is the blind_ipodders list on freelists.org still an active list? I subscribed from the freelists.org web site and replied to the confirmation email. But I have not received acknowledgement that my subscription was confirmed. Has the list moved to a different host system? I am seriously considering an iPod Nano and I have a few questions about life with an iPod. I want to rip my CD's to a lossless format. What lossless format does iTunes support? I have already ripped some of my CD's to WMA lossless format. Can iTunes import Microsoft WMA lossless? (I bet not likely.) Fortunately, I can rip the CD's again if necessary. What is the file extension for the native Apple iPod format? Will Winamp play this format? Thanks for any help you can offer. RE: Nokia n75 and Code Factory or Talx
When I checked with ATT a couple of months ago, they do subsidize the cost of Mobile Speak. They no longer subsidize Talks. Rob -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of JardataLearningCenterEmailService Sent: Thursday, January 01, 2009 1:15 AM To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Subject: Nokia n75 and Code Factory or Talx Hello Nokia Cell Phone Users! My wife purchased a Nokia N75 Cell phone for me from ATT this Christmas. Can anyone tell me whether or not Code Factory or Talx speech programs work with this phone. I think ATT subsidizes either one or both of these cell phone screen readers. Also, I already have Mobile Speak for my Singular 8525 PDA. Can I get Code factory to upgrade this one for a smart phone, which I think the N75 Phone is. Thanks for your help and have a Happy New Year. Burning A Long Playlist To CD's
I have a playlist with 133 songs. I want to shuffle the playlist to create a variety of artists then burn the playlist to CD's. How can I separate the shuffled playlist into 80 minute segments for CD burning? A related question - This playlist does not show the time for each track when I use Control Alt G to create an HTML page of the playlist. But in Windows Media Player 10, the length of each track is spoken as I cursor up and down the playlist. How do I get Winamp to recognize the track lengths of these .MP3 files? Adding Genres In MP3 Tag Editor
I am using version 2.36A of MP3 Tag Editor. I think this is the latest version. I cannot successfully navigate the genres tab in the Options menu with JAWS 8 to add a new genre. After reaching the Genres option in the preference tree, the tab key only stops on OK, Cancel, and Help. With the JAWS cursor, I can find the Checkbox for Show Only User Defined Genres. But I cannot find a button or other control to allow me to add new genres to the list. I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions. Balance Control in Windows Media Player?
Is there an easy way to control the balance between the left and right stereo channels while playing a track in WMP 10? With Winamp, I use control alt H to play only the left channel and control alt semicolon to play only the right channel. There are settings between these extremes with control alt K to resume playing the channels at equal volume. Is there a setting or plugin for WMP 10 to accomplish this? Or does WMP 11 have this functionality? My barbershop chorus uses learning CD's with one voice part predominant on the left channel and the other 3 voice parts on the right channel. I want to teach other guys how to use these learning CD's more effectively using the tools they already have if possible. When I registered several months ago, I had to wait for sighted assistance. I don't think that has changed since then. Speakers For 2 Sound Cards
How do you hook up speakers for a computer with 2 sound cards? My computer does not have an onboard sound card with a built in speaker. I do have a sound card in the computer. I am considering adding a second sound card or an external USB sound card so I can record music through one card and have JAWS and all Windows event sounds play through a second card. To avoid additional component clutter, do you recommend using a Y cable to connect both sound cards to the same set of speakers? Thanks for any other suggestions that work for you.
