Or is this the wrong program for the job?

Iriver Ihp20 navigation help?

2005-06-21 Thread Shashi Gothivarekar
Hello friends,
I have Iriver IHP20, a wonderful little machine. When I bought
it, some 18 months ago, the folders navigation was set such that a
brief push of the Navi button to the right skipped to the next track
and to the left skipped to the previous track. A brief push of the
Navi button followed by a long push, skipped to the next folder and to
the left to previous folder.
I must have done something inadvertently and the procedure above
does not work any longer and the push of the Navi button appears to
skip all over the place in an arbitrary and random manner which is
driving me crazy.
Would some kind fellow user give me a bolow by blow account as to
how I can set it to behave as it was doing originally. I am planning
to fly on a non-stop long haul flight lasting for nearly ten hours. I
would love to listen to my favourite music in a particular order to
while the time away during the flight and I would therefore be most
grateful for your help. I have sighted assistance available if
necessary. Thanks in advance for your early reply. Kind regards.

Plantronics supply a range of USB Headsets incorporating a
microphone. I'm
currently using their DSP 300 model and am very pleased with it. I
previously tried about four headsets of the type that plug into the
soundcard, made by different manufacturers and found faults with all
of
them. Using a SoundBlaster Live card, I wasn't able to produce
sufficient
volume from the microphones when recording no matter what I tried.
Another
thing to bear in mind with these types of microphone is: if the
sound on the
computer is built in to the motherboard, avoiding the need for a
soundcard,
noise from fans etc may be picked up by the microphone. This does
not seem
 to happen with USB types.

I would suggest you purchase a USB headset. I must have spent sixty
or
seventy pounds on the other type. Money I could have used towards
obtaining
a top of the range USB headset.

 Good luck.

 Robert.

WOW! This MP3 Direct Cut program is sweet.

One question, though; is there a way to make a tune fade-out at the
end.
I've a couple of nice hard to find MP3s that just quit maybe 3
seconds from
the end that would sound better if they would fade-out.

 Thanks.

Hello, Don't know know where you are located. I bought an Iriver IHP120 20GB
from a store, here in U. K. for approximately £255. I am more than pleased
with it and it will do all the things for you that you desire. Its
accessibility is very good and the sound quality is really superb. It has a
FM radio with 20 pre sets. You will know more about it by visiting :
www.iriver.com.
The web site is fairly accessible. I had its operating manual recorded on CD
in 'Daisy, format which I could make available to you if you so wish. You
would have to hurry though because I am going in the local hospital for
Coronary Arteery bypass graft surgery on the 6th June and expect to be in

send it to you if you furnish me with your full postal address. Kind
