Please folks, send your requests for software directly to the
person making the offer. Do not send them to the list.

Have some respect for the hundreds of list members who have
absolutely no interest in your message.

Thank you,

Anyway my point is they have a 3d engine that you used to be able to

JFW though probably not as well since W E works much better using the mouse
cursors and such. I could take a sound and place wherever I wanted it, I
could move the sounds around. As a matter of fact I put one in a tight
circle moving around the head and I got a little sick and dizzy from it.
Well the last time I visited there website
www.am3d.com
I think you have to order the demo of this engine. I did write them a
letter
a few years back asking if I could have the full version just to explore
its

accessibility aspects but unfortunately it didn't happen. I was rather
impressed how much I could do considering most 3d audio engines like that
are very graphical.
I'm sure it hasn't changed much and if you write to them you might be able
to get the newest demo of the engine.
BTW I still have the interrogation room audio demo if anyone is interested.
I think it is the best example of binaural 3d audio out there to date.

I don't know if any of these are accessible, but astoundsound.net was
mentioned on this show called Home Theater Geeks. I listened to a demo on
my Macbook that I now got running Windows, it just sounds like wide stereo
even though the guy said one should here all directions even from laptop
speakers. I think these can only work on headsets, and I have my doubts
there, although if one ever heard the virtual haircut on youtube, it
really

could be done, just how to convert normal 5.1 into this.

Hello there, I am now studying a degree in Live and Studio Sound and am

not one that just reduces the frequencies to make it sound like a sound

3d Audio

2007-03-14 Thread Talksina
hi,
a correspondant sent me some sound effects, which where packed in a
CD with a headphone.
it was an hair drier, which had to be listened by headphone, and
which seemed like a real hair drier, moving around the person's head:
left, right, up, down, ahead, behind.
The same guy just made a recording, using his cell phone which
reproduced the audio, and recording with the computer's microphone,
moving the cell ahead, behind, left, right, etc. And, he said, the
movement effect appeared. But of course quality is really, really, bad.
I'd like to know if there are plug-ins making this effect, using
traditional audio programs (goldwave, sound forge, audacity & co).
thanks for help
