Gary, just to say the help is very good but is very comprehensive which
may not suit you and anyone else. But it does suit me. Anyway, putting
that aside, do you have a boost setting in your microphone's volume. If
so have a play with that and see how you get on. Mine has a boost
control so should yours since we are using the same sound chip, the
Intel Hd Audio and we are both using the drivers that are shipped with
Windows 7. Good luck.
