Hi sunshine, i don't use balabolka, because some months ago i tried to use it, but couldn't make it work. i didn't know that i needed the lame incoder, and had no friend who was using it. i am now using text to mp3. i have only converted one file. it was 525,898 bytes long. how big is the file you are trying to convert with balabolka. brian.

steve, i have that but the program will not make mp3s. i can get it to make waves but not mp3s even when i select to save as mp3. something is kind of confusing. in the encoders tab of settings you choose mp3. I got that. now you would think to choose mp3 right in the save audio dialog right? well, if you do this it will not save as an mp3. so again i ask you steve how are you making mp3s when i know others who use the program that are having the same problems. i have the lame that comes with the balaboka program so no problems there. Yes, i set the files to go to ddocuments the file i name what ever the story, article or what ever i wish to name it then i choose mp3. but When i save the file it says saving audio and when the sound comes to say the audio is saved nope no audio file. Hello Sunshine: Try doing this: When it asks you the file name to save, give it a full path, for example: C:\filename.mp3 Or better yet, create a folder inside c:\ for the files, for example: C:\tts And then when saving a file, type: C:\tts\filename.mp3 That is what I do and it works fine. Of course, you must have previously selected to save in MP3, the bit rate and sampling. Well Sunshine, I am not sure I understand what you wrote, but it seems to me that you did what I said and it worked, then you did it again with larger text and it worked again, but then for some reason something else did not work when you tried to convert text to MP3. There are always many possibilities for something to throw a wrench into the works when you are dealing with computers. You must be patient and eliminate possibilities one by one. I have no idea how big was this file but I have converted big files. I did even produce mp3 files of stories and complete books with no problem. Obviously that would take much longer time compared to a small file. But, still it is much better in converting files to mp3, even faster than other programs that cost a lot like Kurzweil. has anyone had problems converting txt files to audio such as mp3 with the latest version of Balabolka i got one file converted but when i go to convert another one it just wont do it. no matter if i choose any other audio file format, the resulting wav file would not play either.Please advise.

Well, its a good program, but I found lately it don't have some of the features I like and want, and I con't even find the release notes for the latest version. So I'm going to switch to text aloud wich is slitely easyer to use and with more features wich are in my liking. hi, it is a programme to turn text files in to mp3 files. i have it, but can't use it, as any files i produce, are so over recorded, that they are unplayable. i can't find out how to adjust the volume of the input file. brian.
