I don't know about the Book Port 2, but the PlexTalk Pocket has no timer to start recording. However, it does have a recording setting that keeps recording in "pause" until sound is "heard." So, if you have a way to set the TV to come on a particular channel at a particular time then the Pocket will start recording at that time with this setting. Does the Bookport plus contain any kind of a timer facility which would permit the user to commence recording at a predetermined time? Tim the PTR2 and Bookport Plus are totally different hardware. The Bookport Plus is the same hardware as the Plextalk Pocket, also known as PPT1.
