Thank you, a thousand times thank you! I'm old enough to remember being
taught to read from top to bottom, and with responses following the item
being responded to, in order.

Seeing replies that don't seem to relate to anything, accompanied by
copies of copies of copies of old posts, makes me despair (as well as
inducing nasty letters from my ISP about excessive bandwidth consumption).

yes sorry, I did wonder whether it was intentional after I’d replied, some
people don’t realise they’re doing it whilst other people do smile>.

That was intentional. I always use bottom posting or an inline reply
style when responding to emails on mailing lists so that I can provide
context for everybody reading my message, avoid including the whole
original message and/or thread, and respond in a cogent, sensible order.

sorry mate, it seems your original eMail appeared below mine but point
taken all the same.

Exact Audio Copy is a great piece of software and you only have to look at the
CD Archive to appreciate just how great those who appreciate there CD’S think
it is.

Exact Audio Copy also supports AccurateRip, and is accessible and free.
I'm a big fan of the dBpoweramp Music Converter, but if you're looking
for a fully-featured CD ripper, you don't need to spend any money on it.
Exact Audio Copy's only downside is that configuring it for the most
accurate rips can be a little bit confusing because it has so many
options, but there are guides out there on the Internet which can walk
you through it.

Bpoweramp Audio CD Ripper etc

2014-11-09 Thread Dane Trethowan

Hi!

I'm sure someone mentioned this software on list a little while back, I
only glanced ath the eMail at hte time and thought nothing more of the
oftware until my search for CD ripping software with the "Accuraterip"
functionality turned it up.

I've downloaded the package and testing it, the author of the eMail to
this list suggesting that the software is quite accessible was certainly
on the money, looks as though Bpoweramp may even replace Easy CD DA
Extractor or Easy CD Converter as its just that little more accessible.
