Re: Foobar, ripping and a problem
Hi Christopher, I think you need a Flac encoder, which you can download from this page: http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html For windows, there's a choice of either an installer which puts the file flac.exe in a flac folder in programs, or alternatively a zip file which contains flac.exe which you put anywhere you want. The two direct links are: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/flac/flac-1.2.1b.exe http://sourceforge.net/projects/flac/files/flac-win/flac-1.2.1-win/flac-1.2.1-win.zip/download David. original message: I'm trying to use the cd ripping feature in Foobar 2000 1.1.5. I get the conversion settings just the way I want them and hit convert, and then a dialogue3 appears asking me for the location of the flac converter. I've scoured my drive and can't find it, nor can I find a .flac converter listed in the installed components, nor in the installable components from the site. Foobar will in fact play .flac files just fine though, so I'm rather confused. How do I point Foobar to the .flac converter? Download the FLAC encoder binary from: http://flac.sf.net There should be a binary for windows here and just unzip the flac.exe to the foobar2000 directory etc. Then point foobar2000 to the location where you put flac.exe. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Christopher Bartlett Sent: 5. april 2011 16:21 To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: RE: Foobar, ripping and a problem Win XP and JFW 12. Foobar, ripping and a problem
