It worked!

2005-02-25 Thread Cynthia Handel
Thanks Dennis and anyone else who gave advice about getting past the initial
music on the RAY DVD. It worked, and once I got the movie to start, the h
works as you indicated it should. Thank you again.

Hi,
It's because it starts in the dvd's main menu where there exists a bunch of
diferent things sighted people would click on. Audio setup, in which angle you
want to watch the movie and lots of extras on the dvd.
Typically but not always the main movie on the disk is the first item in such a
menu and there for it mostly works just to press enter.

Best regards
Brian

hmm I've ben having the same problem but the seek didn't work for me. It
still has the middle of the file at the beginning.

Just wanted to drop a note, and say that the real player trick of setting
the seek positions to 0 (the beginning of a file) seems to have worked in
solving my strange Goldwave conversion problem. Thanks so much.

I think there is a place marker in the file. If you highlight the file and
hit enter it will probably open with real player, if you have it.
Then you can use seek to move to the beginning of the file. Once there,
close real player and try opening the file again with gold wave. It should
 begin at the beginning.

 Hi Folks,

I have been using Goldwave to convert Audible.com files in to MP3 files.
However, something interesting, and extremely annoying, has been
happening
recently. Goldwave converts the file just fine, except that the resulting
MP3 file plays completely in the wrong order. It's like the sections of
the
file have been mixed up. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this
problem?
