Hello gang. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this WMp12 problem on my Win7 laptop?
I recently bought a new Win7 laptop with Windows Media Player 12 preinstalled. I'm able to play mp3 files on the laptop SSD just fine using WMP12. About 10% of the time though, when doing this, Stops playing in the first second or so with an error. My main problem is when trying to stream audio files using WMP12 from a radio show website where they upload the show archives. These online audio archives work fine on another win7 desktop at home so the website archives are fine. However every single time I attempt to play that archived audio using WMP12 on my laptop I immediately get an error msg within WMP and it's as follows: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: wmplayer.exe Application Version: 12.0.7601.17514 Application Timestamp: 4ce7a485 Fault Module Name: KERNELBASE.dll Fault Module Version: 6.1.7601.17651 Fault Module Timestamp: 4e211319 Exception Code: c06d007f Exception Offset: 0000b9bc OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt Prateek Prateek -----Original Message----- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Joe Paton Sent: Monday, March 12, 2012 5:24 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: reaper old version? Hi list, By chance, does anybody have version 3.7 or there abouts of reaper? It certainly is not available from the web site as far as I can establish. My understanding is that this works considerably better with the REA screen reader plug in which rumour has it, is not being further developed to work with version 4.x. Rather the developer appears to have disappeared if that makes sense. Maybe another enthusiast will pick it up, got to be some dollars in it. Thanks for reading.
