Hello everyone.

My usual video viewing on the computer involves loading an avi or .mkv container file into VLC. These play without a hitch normally and I'm very happy with the player for video functionality even though feedback from jAWS is rather minimal at times. But now I have a situation where I have been given a ripped DVD on a USB drive. It's the full DVD, which means it includes the Video TS and Audio TS folders, a whole lot of .mov files, etc. And try as I might, I haven't been able to get it to work in VLC. I'm pretty sure the folder is loaded, and it shows all the different audio tracks, a chapter menu, etc, but I'm not getting any sound when I select them. What am I missing? I'd really like to be able to watch this tonight! I don't need any of the extras, just to play the main title on the DVd from beginning to end.

Any help from those experienced here would be appreciated.
Thanks!

personally, i think you'd be ahead to buy a standard microwave and take a
few minutes to label it. Willing to discuss this option offflist.

I hope this isn't considered off topic, I'm not sure where to ask my
question. I am going to move soon and am going to be looking for a
talking microwave. It looks like there are several out there and I
was wondering what might be the best and what experiences anybody has
had with any of them. Thanks and sorry if it's considered off topic.
