Hi Denis,

press shift and left or right bracket keys to hear audio data up to either
start or end marker.
Use control right and left arrow, or shift right or left arrows to move either
marker. I can't recall which keystrokes do which marker. Moving the arrow
keys is merely moving the cursor through the data, it is not moving the markers.

I am not totally certain about the control and arrow keys, that may be control
and shift. Sure as eggs are eggs, somebody will correct my error.

Hi Betsy, also, some sound cards have check boxes that allow you to mix
your inputs, just as you can in the playback properties. If this is the
case, you must check everything that you don't want recorded, such as the
wave out and the stereo mix, which some sound cards call what you hear!

files that are no longer necessary or something like that. My XP drive is
on drive F not C and the disk clean up comes up on the system tray. I go
into it and it says that what I can delete but it is only 0 KB and when I
apply a few effects, when I am applying one, it says could not write to
file. No storage available or device not ready when there is nothing
wrong. Also when I record, it stops recording for some unknown reason.
What is happening? Sorry if this is off topick.

You can find the control panel by pressing start, then S until you hear
settings. Then press c for control panel.

If you don't have What you hear, you may want to go into the options
menu
on the recording dialog box, either that or properties, and see if it's on
the list of options to select. If so, check it and press OK. If not, I'm
unsure as to how you can record what you want to record.

 Samuel,

What sound card are you using? That's important to know in order to help
 with a solution.

 Thanks.

Hi, I am having a problem with Goldwave. I am trying to record my Window
Eyes and games from the computer into Goldwave but Goldwave isn't picking
them up. Even using my mixer board doesn't work. Can you help? Samuel.

I haven't got what you here. I think I have stereo mix. Where can I find the
control panel you spoke of? Samuel.

If you want to record all that's going on in your sound card, go into the
control panel, press sounds and Audio. On the audio tab, press the
record button and select What you hear.
