Question about Olympus DS2
Hey guys. I just this month got an Olympus DS2 Digital voice recorder. I love it, and just about have most of the menus I'd ever need to know memorized by heart, however, maybe I misheard this, but is there a 3rd party software that I could install to make the menus speak? It seems like I remember hearing something somewhere about this. No, i am not referring to Rockbox, I already know about that. That isn't what I'm talking about. Thanks. Re: Question about Olympus DS2
Frankly I don't think there would be enough storage space on the thing to load talking menus because of the already limited storage. - Original Message - From: Chris Gilland [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2006 7:49 AM Subject: Question about Olympus DS2 Hey guys. Re: Question about Olympus DS2
True, I think all you get is like, 64MB of memory. Hmm, I wonder if that can be expandable. Re: Question about Olympus DS2
Chris, There is indeed as software, with which one can change the menus of the DS-2. It is the plus version of DSS Player. To get it, you have to first install the DSS Player from the supplied CD. Then you have to update it to the plus version via the web. The update option can be found in the DSS Player menu. The update costs between ten and twenty Dollars. *** Michael Lang *** You wrote: Hey guys. I just this month got an Olympus DS2 Digital voice recorder. Re: Question about Olympus DS2
Yeah, I knew ab out that; I meant a free version, of software that I could use and actually copy over to the recorder itself. I didn't mean go through the software in windows.
