Re: Question re. the Sirius XM App

2013-06-18 Thread Larry Naessens
The best I can say about the Sirius XM iPhone app is that it is kind of
accessible.
There are 5buttons, undefined by Voiceover which get you into different
categories such as on demand and favorites. I use it to play on demand
programming and with a little practice that is pretty manageable.

I understand that there are other apps that allow you to sign into your Sirius
XM account and listen, using those alternative apps. I plan to try that when I
get the chance.

If you are thinking of using the app to listen to your favorite channels live,
I would suggest that you add them to favorites and find them that way when you
wish to listen. The app does not identify each channel by name, at least not in
a manner that Voiceover can see. Instead, you will hear what song is playing on
each channel as you scroll through the list.

A lack of accessibility is unfortunately what I've seen for the most part, when
it comes to Sirius XM online. But the app is free and they allow you a trial
period on the service before committing any money. At least that is the case
with Sirius and XM here in Canada. So I would give the app a try and see what
you can do with it.
