The best quality one I've seen thus far is the LS-7. You can index your
files I think, but if the LS ones are like the DM ones they are Olympus
marks. I mean that only the recorder can see the marks. Is that what you
meen by indexing? Like putting a mark into a file like in Sound Forge or
Studio Recorder? If it's the date and time kind of thing, it does that by it
self. That's what the name of the file will be.

Just looked thru the Product Search App from J.J. Medaugh for Olympus
Digital Recorders; there' quite an array.  Any recommendations?  Stereo
would be a plus as well as MP3, but I'm also interested in indexing short
notes and messages fed to me via phone.

Tried a Plextalk and was disappointed to find that you lose all calendar
indexing when backing up voice memos.  All ideas on or off-list are
appreciated.
