Re: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch]

2012-07-17 Thread Doc wright
If you are talking about using the front slot for a thumb drive it is quite
possible if the case for your drive is long. Mine is almost as long as the
cartridge that fits there. I have a piece of duct tape on the end of it for
ease of removal.

I'm not sure if you get any additional features using the audio+podcasts
folder, but I've always found the NLS player finds all of my MP3 files
regardless of what folders they're located in. For example, I used to
use the same folder structure I have on my Booksense, and the NLS player
didn't seem to have any trouble finding of my MP3 files.

Note I went ahead and changed the subject line, since I didn't
understand what the previous subject line had to do with this question.

Well, the previous subject refers to the fact that my stroke last year
reeked some havoc in my memory and some of the simplest things just went
away. BTW, I now have three books on the drive but seem to only be able
to

find the first one I downloaded. I unzipped them each to the root without
making srparate folders manually. Darn it I did this before so I know its
me.

The name of the folder sure ain't important on my player. However, I

order.

If you are talking about mp3 books , you will need to creat a folder
entitled:
audio+podcasts
be sure to arrow through to get the exact spelling.

You have to go into some settings thing that I can't remember at the
moment.
I'll look it up for you since I have this info saved on my mybook
hard
drive. Please E-mail me off list so I can reply to that E-mail since
I

think
this is also going down the dark path of being ot too.

Dave: If I'm understanding you correctly, you are having trouble getting to

the bookshelf; if this is correct, using the NLS Player, press and hold down

the Play button; this should do the trick.
