If you are talking about using the front slot for a thumb drive it is quite possible if the case for your drive is long. Mine is almost as long as the cartridge that fits there. I have a piece of duct tape on the end of it for ease of removal. - Original Message - From: Brett Boyer bboyer...@gmail.com To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Monday, July 16, 2012 06:24 PM Subject: Re: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch] How did u do that? bb - Original Message - From: Dave McElroy WA6BEF d...@drakelroy.com To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Friday, July 13, 2012 2:12 PM Subject: RE: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch] Interesting. RE: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch]
That's what I thought but it didn't do anything last night. Will try again. Thanks. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Tom Kaufman Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 1:39 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch] Dave: If I'm understanding you correctly, you are having trouble getting to the bookshelf; if this is correct, using the NLS Player, press and hold down the Play button; this should do the trick. BTW, I now have three books on the drive but seem to only be able to find the first one I downloaded. I unzipped them each to the root without making srparate folders manually. Darn it I did this before so I know its me. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Christopher Chaltain Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2012 6:37 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: NLS USB drive set up [was Re: Seem to have lost my touch] I'm not sure if you get any additional features using the audio+podcasts folder, but I've always found the NLS player finds all of my MP3 files regardless of what folders they're located in. For example, I used to use the same folder structure I have on my Booksense, and the NLS player didn't seem to have any trouble finding of my MP3 files. Note I went ahead and changed the subject line, since I didn't understand what the previous subject line had to do with this question. Folders are simply named for the book that resides in them. I've had as many as 6 folders (books) on a cartrage and the machine just plays them in alphabetic order.
