last.fm is pretty shweet. If you become a subscriber, you can use other players such as speakon. I find it better than pandora for finding really obscure music. twitter http://twitter.com/richardclayppol last.fm http://www.last.fm/user/lord_of_beer msn bellevue@gmail.com skype lord_of_beer - Original Message - From: Mike Edwards m...@ultraemail.us To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Tuesday, June 05, 2012 8:29 PM Subject: Re: Subscription Streaming Music Services Las.fm is pretty easy to use. I use Last.fm here in the uK. There are two subscription models. 1. Pay £3 for one month as and when you like, and 2. Pay £3 per month as a regular payment, costing £36 a year. I choose the former since I don't use Last.fm on a regular basis, only to help me re-discover an artist or discover something new. The Spotify desktop is inaccessible on the PC and I guess it is on Mac as well. However I'm a Spotify Premium user because it works nice with my Sonos system and on the iPhone. Some unlabeled buttons exist on the iPhone app but it's usable when you get used to it. You will also need to get to know the app by exploring the screen with your finger because flicking skips some controls. Yep, that's the sort of information I'm looking for thanks! I was never interested in the Desktop apps for Spotify on Mac or Windows, I know the IOS App is quite accessible so may have a look at that. One final thing, is there any way to bypass the Facebook registration? I don't have a Facebook account and don't really want one unless there's a real benefit to be had which I can't see right now smile. No, unfortunately I don't think so. I totally agree about FaceBook. I signed up for Spotify prior to the stupid FaceBook account requirement. I have not seen any attempts to force me to move to the new FaceBook account/integration but as I said it looks like new customers is required to have a FaceBook account. If Spotify of some reason decide to force me to create a FaceBook account to use their service I'm pulling out. I'll cancel my subscription immediately if they force me to move to the new sign-up method. -Original Message- From: pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Dane Trethowan Sent: 6. juni 2012 20:45 To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Subscription Streaming Music Services Yep, that's the sort of information I'm looking for thanks!
