The only problem is that its quite difficult at times to find the
direct URL. If you have a flash station how on earth do you find it?
And tapp in radio don't have a URL finder like replay radio.

 Hello fellow pc-audio listers:

Does anyone know how to get Tapin Radio to record live streams that come
from other sites to which are not part of the Tapin Radio database?

For example, the local church in my area has a live stream of their cermon
that broadcasts on their site. I can not find the site in Tapin's database,
so if I go directly to the site itself and get the live stream playing, is
there a way to get Tapin to record that stream? Thanks.

It is hard unless the station provides it on the page. We use Flash and
provide the address of the stream as well.

I don't know how other screen readers work, but with Jaws, if you do an
alt-D (this puts you at the address bar) so then you'd do your control-c
(to copy) then looks like you could just go to Tapin and paste that link in!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

The URL or web address of the website is not the URL of the stream. For
example, our internet radio station (in Spanish) is located at
http://radiogeneral.com while the address of the stream is
http://radiogeneral.com:8000 and, more frequently than not, people who don't
have a streaming server of their own, but contract a streaming service, will
show an IP address, such as http://72.123.45.67:8122 and notice also that
the port number, which normally defaults to 8000, could be any number other
than those already asigned to other tasks, normally any number over 1000 and
that the number may be followed by a slash and a mount point.

Okay then...if you can get that stream into favorites...then just bring up
the streaming page that should work, shouldn't it? I know I've done it
before...although has been a little while since I've tried it! So in short,
you're just bringing up the page that the stream it's on (not the station
address itself) try that and see if you have luck with it!
