Volume ontrol is in the notifications area or in sound in the ontrol pannel you can also hit f8 to turn the volume down and f9 to turn it up hope this helps. It should show up in the system tray as speakers I believe. Thanks for the tip. I did download that file you mentioned, but in the mean time, the settings just decided on their own to remain where I set them. But at least I have the file in my download folder, and if it happens again, I'll install it. Thanks again for your help.
