Re: Further nNotes On the Bowers And Wilkins Z2
Hi! Then comes a question. Are they portable or is it a stationary system? /A 1 dec 2014 kl. 21:43 skrev Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net: Hi! I did an audio review on this product several weeks ago, I got the Z2 for a Birthday present 6 weeks ago but - up until this morning - I really haven’t had a chance to have a good listen to the product, I’ve been listening to the Z2 system for the last 2 hours and have noticed a lot when it comes to the quality of sound from this system. Firstly let me explain what I did. I have a Bowers And Wilkins A5 speaker system by my bed, this system is striking in its clarity at the top and bottom ends, mid range sounds are pleasantly noticeable. I swapped the A5 for the Z2 and here’s where the fun started. The a5 has 4 speaker drivers - a inch and a 1 inch per channel - whereas the Z2 only has 2 drivers - 1 3.5 inch full range per channel. The top end is still present as well as the mid range and bass however the separation of instruments and vocals heard in striking thanks obviously to the Digital Sound Processing and this really brings the Z2 to life. I think Mary stated on list yesterday that folks in the U.S. can get the Z2 for $149 from amazon? If that’s the case then I would certainly recommend people investigate the Z2 speaker system, for its price its one of the best speaker systems I’ve heard. Yes, I prefer the sound of the A5 given the distinguishing top and bottom factors I mentioned earlier but I’d certainly settle for a Z2 if I didn’t know the A5 existed, 2 words sum up the Z2 given what it is, “Truly outstanding”. ** Dane Trethowan grtd...@internode.on.net Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane

The Z2 is portable in that its compact enough to move around however it doesn’t have its own rechargeable battery, runs on AC Power only. Re: Further nNotes On the Bowers And Wilkins Z2
It is $199 from amazon, or it was when I looked yesterday, not $149. That's a hundred bucks off of what they sold it for last time I looked, which was a while back, admittedly. Mary

Okay thanks for the correction, still a damn good buy in my opinion. There’s a new version of the Zeplin Air out too so I’m going to have a listen to one of those next year.
