Re: accessible cd-rom burning software is available
I don't think they are trying to rip blind people off since their mission is creating accessible software for the blind, however if I were handling their marketing I would make sure I released a demo the same time I released the product. Because accessible software sometimes isn't as accessible as it could be or sometimes it has unintended consequences to your system, I and I would guess a lot of other people would wan't to try it first, not just buy it because some one says it is made for the blind. - Original Message - From: "Scott" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Re: accessible cd-rom burning software is available
I now feel as if I must respond to this thread. The company in question, Premier Programming, in my opinion, has created some incredibly inexpensive software, some that are self-voicing and some meant to be used specifically with screen reading software. Their highly personable and responsive tech support, along with the quality of their programs has been excellent. Most of the programs that they have produced have demos that may be downloaded. Since CD ripping/burning software can be a challenge, I applaud the effort and will purchase the program, demo or not. - Original Message - From: "Scott" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. Tony available from: http://www.readingmadeeasy.com Premier CD/DVD Creator Finally, CD burning software that is designed to work with a screen reader While Premier CD/DVD creator appears to be like many other CD burning software, if you use screen reading software, you will be able to really HEAR the difference immediately!!. This is the first CD/DVD burning software that is designed to work with a screen reader and is now the most Section 508-compliant CD burning software in the market. Premier CD Creator takes care of all of that. With the new Premier Assistive CD/DVD burning software, you always know what it is doing as it is doing it. No more guess work. The best part is there is nothing special you need to do to get it to work with your screen reader! If you have a screen reader running, the Premier CD/DVD software will automatically detect it, and send information through your screen reader. The Premier CD/DVD Creator software package contains four unique tools. It comes with an Audio Ripper, Audio CD Burner, Data CD creator and Data DVD Burner. Each one of these products is independent of the version of screen reader being used. They do not require any Script files or Set Files. You never have to worry about what version of the screen reader you have. Just install it and use it. This is a must for visually impaired computer users.
