Hi Samuel,
try reinstalling Power DVD, and if that doesn't work, then you have to
change your DVD player.

Hello, I am having a problem with Power DVD, although I am not sure about
weather it is the program or my computer's DVD player. I am trying to play
a film and in some scenes, such as gunfights and when there is a lot of
noise, it starts to break up. I know it is not Window Eyes causing the
problem. I tried checking the CD, the inside of the DVD player and running
the cleaning CD, but to no avail. What else could I do? I do not want to
have to resort to having to replace my DVD player.

Are you using an external drive? if the drive is made to work with USB 2.0 and
you
have an older USB card, it will break up like you describe. if you are using an
internal drive, I don't know what to say other than the drive is going bad or

PowerDVD is one of the easiest PC dvd players around. There are many
hotkeys to do everyting and the application itself is very screen reader
friendly.

As far as Audio DVD Extractor. There is a tutorial of sorts out there
from Jonathan Mosen's site. But even so, writing the author with
questions will get quick results.

Re: power dvd and dvd audio extractor

2006-04-27 Thread Gary King
Power DVD is actually pretty easy if you use your Applications key to access
the menus. There are also many hot keys for the various functions if you
care to commit them to memory. Just don't expect to hear the actual titles
on the DVD since screen readers can't get this information. The best you
can expect is Title 1, Title 2, etc. and the speaking of chapter numbers in
the chapter submenu.

the only time hitting enter works is if you activate the browser. otherwise

Hello Jim. I've been using PowerDVD 4.x for a couple of years and have
realized that really when it comes to a dvd player, what can you
upgrade? I mean, 4.x has the audio language menu item, you can use the
numbers on the keyboard to pick scene numbers or episode numbers for TV
series dvds, etc. I'd be interested in knowing what all new and
enhanced features the version 6 has over 5 and 4.

Once Power dvd opens, Try hitting the windows key or clicking the right

Re: Power DVD Question

2005-02-22 Thread Cynthia Handel
You are going to get tired of my questions. But, I'm back with more Power
DVD questions

My key commands don't seem to work. But, in playing around, somewhere, I
found a place which said Hot Key. I clicked on it and then the keyboard
commands worked and I was able to get the DVS description, as well as cycle
through the other audio languages. However, after closing Power DVD, I can't
find the Hot Key button and can no longer cycle through the languages.
Any suggestions?

I use Power DVD quite often. Usually, if the audio languages option is
not available, that means that there are no other languages offered on a
given disc; however, you do need to be playing a scene in order to have the

Hello, again. I downloaded and installed Power DVD 6, Deluxe, and haven't
had any better luck with it. It seems that many of the menus are
unavailable, including Audio Languages. I don't know how to enable these
menus. There may be something in Configuration, but I don't know what
much
of the information under configuration means, so don't know what might be
changed. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I was playing around with the Ray DVD and my Power DVD on my computer.
While I was not able to change the selection to Audio for the Visually
Impaired in the audio language sub menu, I was clicking around with my
JAWS
mouse button and suddenly heard the DVS description. The problem is that
I
don't know what I clicked...it was just graphics.

Are there JAWS scripts for Power DVD? Or, is there a more user friendly

I'm not a jaws user, but you may try using your applications key. It is
the
one just to the left of the right-side control key. It seems to me that
most of the functions are accessed through that key. I don't know of any
