Hi! Thought I'd revisit this topic, many people have asked on and off list, just how good is this radio for DX work on AM? Perhaps the following will give you some idea.
I'm now listening to a station in the Australian state of Western Australia - due to the nature of ABC broadcasting I can't give you the exact location as ABC programming on their "Local Radio" service is now syndicated through metropolitan and regional stations with state identifiers so you only hear the "ABC Western Australia" Identification and not the actual location of the transmitter or station you're listening to as used to be the case so I'm going to have to do some research to pinpoint the exact station however I can say that Western Australia is about 2,000 miles away from where I am.
