I never realized that satellite radio had such a huge cost involved!

Well, I happen to be a fan of Opie & Anthony, but to each his own.
This is why these satellite services have so many programming
choices. If you don't like something, you got 2 choices my friend.
Switch it off, or change the station and find something else more to
your liking. I can understand not liking O&A but I happen to like
them. So hey...

2006-06-15 Thread Tim Grady
It would be hard to give you an answer because it depends a lot in what
you're looking for. There used to be a big price difference but there isn't
any more. Having both services I find myself listening to Sirius more
because I like Jazz, sports and talk. Sirius gives me most of what I need
there. I have XM because they carry baseball and the ACC conference in
college football and basketball. They also carry two talk channels that
Sirius doesn't carry, but the problem I have with XM music is first of all
their programming sounds like Clear Channel and secondly Sirius has what I
need. As a matter of fact if it weren't for the sports that I can't get on
Sirius, XM would be gone.

I haven't really gotten a dfinitive answer as to what service is the best
overall. Some people swear that XM is the besrt and there others that say
sirious is the way to go. What I do know is that sirious has more commercial

free channals. When it comes to receivers I have noticed that XM probably
has more of a choice. At present I receive the weekly XM newsletter and that

seems to be very accessible with jaws.

Bob, look at the channel line up. I prefer XM because of their sports.
Sirius has the better straight ahead jazz channel but both services have
their strong points and weak points. XM doesn't interupt their talk with
sports, and XM has a better old time radio channel because Sirius will play
hour shows and devide them up i to half hour parts and not play the second
half. If I had one I would get XM but that just me. Whey people knock Sirius
for Howard Stern when XM has Opie and antheney who are just as bad I'll
never get that.
