mp3 skype recorder success
Well, I finally got the program installed. From what I can see, the program doesn't appear to have a menu bar. When you press the alt key with the program running, all that comes up, is the system menu, allowing you to change the size of the window but there doesn't appear to be any menu of any kind. How do I tell mp3 skype recorder to save recordings in a folder of my own choosing rather than the default folder it has chosen for me? If it should become necessary, and I didn't want a particular skype call to be recorded, how do I turn the automatic recording on and off? and is there a way to adjust the quality of the mp3 files that mp3 skype recorder records? Finally, when making a recording of a Skype call, I read an article online, that states that you should fire up Skype first and then the program. Just for clairification, is it necessary to have mp3 Skype recorder running while Skype is running? Or will the program just kick in on its own. Mike Rochester, NY.

You will have to go into skype options under advance/manage other programs and allow skype to use it. as for bringing up the msr window open the system tray windows + b and hit enter on skype recorder. You might have to do it twice. This should bring up the window where you will have 3 unlabled buttons. b1: record b2: stop recording b3: stop recording and disconnect the dialog box before b1 is where you set your bit rate the box before that allows you to choose between stereo, joint stereo and nono. The stereo options always places the recorder's microphone in 1 channel and everyone else in the call will be in the other channel. If you continue shift tabbing you will find where you can change where recordings are stored. Yeah you can! Don't worry it is a very normal executable format just like .exe. Many other programs have the same format. Kurzweil 1000 is an example. Hi, Yes, a .msi file is a valid filetype, and will run. It is smaller than the standard .exe file. I tried vac and ran into a problem I pointed the audio repeater to line 1 but was not sure on what the output should point to since I will be trying to record from GoldWave. Which Skype Recorder?
I have to admit, I'm a bit of an ostrich when it comes to certain things--if I don't need 'em, I tend to ignore 'em--until one day, the sun penetrates, my head pops up out of the technological quagmire in which it's been buried of late, and I discover there's actually some new tool out there that will do what I need done at the moment, and it's been around for aeons, and I just never took notice of it! Such is the case with Skype Recorder. However, there appear to be more than one such tool with the same name from different vendors/purveyors/authors. Just Google skype recorder and see what you get--a veritable cornucopia of responses, some free, some not, some even going under some kind of daily software giveaway program, probably long expired! So, my question comes down to this: Which one(s) have you used and with what degree of success and pleasure? Or, which one(s) have you used and to what degree of dislike or out-and-out dismay, and, of course, why to all of the above? Thanks for helping clear the fog on this one. Steve! I use my Internet Phone Wizard to record Skype and regular phone calls. I never really record calls, but I could.
