I have a P4 mother board from Intel with built-in sound. I'm using Nero 7. I want to rip some cds for play on a mono system. I check mono and the appropriate bit rate in Nero and the rip proceeds to what the software calls success. Problem is, the mp3s which I play are still in stereo. I don't know whether this is a Nero problem or a sound driver problem. I have no other system to test on. I'd appreciate some verification that mono works or doesn't work from someone else using Nero of 7 or later, or a suggestion as to what to look at or try. Thanks in advance.
