That means that somehow, some way, your sapi four voices have become corrupted. You will probably have to contact microsoft to see if they have a fix. Otherwise, you will be looking at reinstalling windows. Hi, Ted. In the diags folder, there is a speech test application. You might use that to see if you can test one of the viavoice voices. I have seen people trash their sapi four. JfW still works because they do something different, but no sapi four voice works. Ibm viavoice not speaking.
HellO! Since i deactivated my realtek audio and moved all sounds to my m-audio soundcard instead i can not hear the ibm viavoice speaking via this soundcard. I could hear it when the realtek was activated even through my m-audio soundcard. not sure about what you're looking for, but if you are looking for a MS Sapi 4 version of IBM Via Voice Outloud, please write me in private. please understand that this speech synth is exactly the same voice as JFW's eloquence. so it won't add anything really useful for JAWS users, but I use it to convert text files to MP3.
