The question that has to be asked is how much do you want to pay for such equipment? It is out there, however in most cases the manufacturer will often stipulate that a digital recorder for an example can be exposed to light rain, but not much more beyond that point. The digital recorders that I am talking about have a rugged rubberized shell with rubber caps that fit into the jack inputs and outputs that arn't being used. Again it is emphasised not to put the machine under water, as water might get into the inner workings of the machine. . .
